Revisiting this thread brings back some good memories. I've changed a lot since the inception of this thread, and to show my growth, I'm including a picture of me from six years ago (posted in the original thread). But first, let me explain how this game changed my life.
I've thought about whether or not Graal improved my life, or worsened it. I've spent thousands of hours on the various servers, hindering my social life and affecting my grades. I've had literal dreams of becoming an administrator on a GraalOnline server (very sad, but to be frank, who here hasn't). But honestly, playing Graal was one of the best things to have happened to me. I've made connections that I'll never forget, I've grown interested in the field of engineering, and it's provided a comforting atmosphere for me in times of stress and trouble.
I often think about what my life would be like if it weren't for Graal. Perhaps I wouldn't be in my dream university. Perhaps I wouldn't have found an interest in engineering. Maybe my thousands of forum posts improved my writing (or perhaps degraded it?) There are an incalculable amount of paths that have been created for me based on one small decision to install GraalOnline from the app store one fateful day.
It's been about three or four years since I've been active in the game, but I find myself browsing these forums and making posts every week. I will never forget the friends I made here, nor will I forget the fond memories I have of this community.
Without further ado, this was a picture I took more than five years ago.
