Lol they worked hard to get the exploits fixed, but haven't even tryed to solve the disappearing character glitch yet? Wow Rockstar.

Exploits are game-breaking and can be fixed very quickly, things like profile disappearance might take time (that's not to say they're not game-breaking). Rockstar's currently trying to manage what is the biggest game in the US right now, you don't think they're working hard to address a large complaint like that?

I didn't mean to say it like that but exploits are being found everyday can't they just put most or all their attention on missing characters? Once they fix that I think their won't be anymore problems for people.

I see what you mean and you have a point. Unless they can get all or most of the characters back then the game will lose a lot of players and money which in turn would make fixing those exploits seem a lot less important.

Yes, because they're ignoring the whole missing character thing and putting 100% effort into fixing minor exploits...

don't be ignorant. You should be getting an update today that should address that issue if you bothered reading the link I posted regarding the issue.

What I gathered from the link is that they are fixing the problem of characters being deleted but currently not restoring them.

Chances are your character data is saved on their servers. If your data got corrupted or saved over with blank data or whatever could have happened, there is nothing to retrieve, unless they have backups... which they may or may not. I'm pretty sure they won't be able to restore jack squat.
I think they're just stumped on how they should compensate for the deleted chars and lost progress/cash. How will they even figure out who the players are that lost stuff?

I think R* just needs to admit they ****ed up and get it over with.
I'm pretty sure getting online and playing is not an issue anymore. Just compensate the players for this snafu and roll in new content.

Chances are your character data is saved on their servers.
