It should be fixed now. As for the audio the reason it was not posted was due to "It" Being from the youtube library. I made sure to find something that would not go against copyright terms therefore not causing any issues. |

1. He encouraged us to non copyright musics or voice, letting me to think that we shouldn't use musics outside of graal/royalty free ones. 2. He said use the work of our own, also made me thought it has to be like graal footage only, no other clips involved. 3. attract us to play the game = what make us qualifying, im guessing? or what unix/jarace wants. so why I mentioned these 3 is that, I originally thought of making a meme video. I wanted to make "Types of Role Players on Graal": Military, Baby Adoption, Dating Marriage, Types of PKer or Sparrer etc. but it's really hard without any meme clips overlapping above and make fun of everyone.. that seems like why people who submitted early did a very "formal" job at introducing the game, rather than make everyone laugh to death like spods. but i guess either way spod wouldve nuked us with that video lmao. he did very good job with editing. /ripperoni |

Altho Spods video was funny it does break the rules so can’t be accepted as an actual entry |

2) - That was mostly because I didn't want anyone stealing videos/content from others. One of the FAQ questions should clear up this misunderstanding. (It doesn't have to be all in-game footage. Had a few people ask me about making animations for it, and I think that is fine so long as it accomplishes what the theme of this contest requests). 3) - Yeah, trailers fulfill the aforementioned theme of this contest. I've mentioned it a few times: Show off your favorite activity/activites on Graal Online. Ideally, this should show off what is fun about the game and attract new players. While organizing the contest, it crossed my mind that Unixmad and the GraalOnline administration would prefer more serious videos, whereas the community might prefer less serious videos or videos more oriented towards entertainment. I think both can effectively accomplish the contest's theme, so that's why the contest is somewhat open ended. I didn't want to stifle anyone's creativity. If spods video has copyrighted music, that will need to be changed for it to be allowed in the contest. |
Can i get a free ncs music? and i will just put the link in the description
|
Quote:
and what does ncs do? remove the video and act like that video never existed.. **** them. I think there's a video about calling them out. |

You might want to consider Zetectic's cautionary tale, however. |

Notes: - tried to keep it pg-13 but post-production got derailed quite a bit and we ended up adding a few things that might undermine the forum rules.. lmk if you want the profanity bleeped - post-production took about 11 hours total split within 6 days - had a sore throat during a few voice recording sessions, mind the discrepancies in volume, tone, intonation, etc - I've only put the graal classic links in my description since the others are largely irrelevant to me |
Here's my submission for the promotion category, I spent a huge amount of hours editing it over a couple weeks in my spare time, so I hope my production value goes far.

Two more great submissions. Nice job!

honestly, this one, is super good. really good production quality, smooth transitions. all around perfection. are the sounds you used royalty free? because i wouldn't want work like this to go to waste because of copyright. |
There we go. Good ones finally show up +repped
Btw puddles i won the biggest rps tournament in 2016/2017. U should’ve invited me! |

1. Jarace's OP explicitly mentioned: Quote:
assuming that sound effects are also included, is every little intricacy going to be evaluated with a fine tooth comb for copyright infringement? I'd like to know how much I can get away with here when it comes down to my submission and its eligibility |

That said, my recommendation is to not delete this version of the video or the project file for it if you think the copyrighted sound effects make the video much more effective. Same goes for Theos's video, just in case he is reading. More on why that is the case soon. You'll still need to remove copyrighted stuff to qualify as one of the best promotional videos, that won't change. |
Video contest? More like a way to see how people pronounce "Graal"...

There have been some major updates to the contest. They include:

So would I be able to submit to both categories for a higher chance of winning + more videos?

Nvm, I just read OP again. You can resubmit your entry. I think that’s fair enough. Don’t think they’ll allow 2 submissions. |

The video contest is on the news

First round of videos from people without Graalians.com accounts.
Spoiler
I know some of these aren't perfect, but please be kind when discussing them. Since the contest was announced in-game, it is likely that a lot of younger people are submitting. You're still welcome to post feedback for them, of course, but they may not see it. For some of these I was unsure if the music was copyrighted. I have reached out to those that have submitted, and if I find out any of them use copyrighted music I will edit them out of this post. |
nice and SO MANY!!
|
Here's my submission for the humorous category.
If we're required to supply a category for each submission, feel free to edit my other video post to specify the promotion category cause it seems I can't. |

How is voting gonna go? Is it gonna be google site vote? :d
This is gunna be so rigged, i hope unix/staffs just pick out the winners at the end. While I think ‘asking for a vote’ is a strategy, but at the same time it just makes this entire contest a popularity contest rather than what it was intended for. Should tweak it a bit. |

I would suggest the voting to take place in the discord server because it can be easier there with graaalians bot. I also think the voting shouldn’t deteriorate thr winners but to help graal online staff pick the winners

Using the official Discord is worth considering. I'll continue considering the method, so I guess if you have suggestions feel free to reply here or pm me them. Yes, the plan is to have the voting power split 50/50 still. It should help mitigate the risk of this becoming a popularity contest. |
The staff should pick like the top 25 videos for each category. Post them in a thread and lock it. Direct the players to the thread for voting options and have them vote in-game (identified plus x amount of hours to vote)
|

I do understand why you might want to limit voters though. The last thing I'd want if I won would be to have it discredited to "popularity". |

edit: i hope this video is used for Graal Playerworld app advertisement. It really fits in there! |
Jarace I have a suggestion. First, let Graalians cast more than 1 vote in round 1. Top 10 videos from round 1 will make it to the round 2, then Unixmad and Graal staffs will cast votes (more than 1) to pick the winners. By doing this Unixmad get to see the top 10 videos himself, also I believe the Graal staffs are very fair from what I've witnessed.
I personally believe it's very easy to persuade users to get votes on a specific person, that'll be never be stoppable and unfair to everyone. ^- if Unixmad likes your video and your video didn't make it to the winner list, he can still use it for the advertisement and pay you $200 (read the OP). I see why GOAT suggested to involve entire Graal users to counter the problem. but the most of the playerpool doesn't give a ****. So they'll probably either vote on random video, friends video or attractive thumbnail/attractive first 5 second videos. |
