Why do i feel this is related to staff quality?

In era, the staff are held to a high regard. If a staff member gets off the hook for giving stuff away to their friends, what kind of message does that send to the players?
Nub: "Oh, if i get hired and can give lightsabers to all my friends? Sweet!" (Exaggerated example)

The staff know what's right and what's wrong, or at least they should.

Yeah but there sadly is no way to change this. The problem is that the requirements of and the admin - job itself have changed a lot. From seriously helping player's and (mostly) respectful messages it has evolved into placing statues, getting spammed, doing weddings and such stuff...

New PR's are limited even more so that might also ruin the remaining fun of being an admin. Being monitored by admins, rated by both and spammed by players is not helping to like the job. It looks cool to be an admin but IT IS NOT. It is serious 'hard' work and not all of the 10-20yo we have hired knew that or could live with it. We must enforce the rules and punish abusive admins hard. Else we would end up like some other corrupted servers...

There might have been some... "misunderstandings" but in the end we only try to give you players the most enjoyable game experience.

Yes. Being hired means it's a job. That means it's work. Being an admin isn't/shouldn't be just about hosting events and then having private get-togethers with a small group of your closest friends. Those things should come after the needs of the players. NEVER before. There's a time/age where a kid just wants to play games. That age is too young for a staff position.

Thank you for pointing that out. I have to admit that I don't even 'play' era as I got no fully working iDevice. That might be reason I never had an intention to ever abuse / give away items... O.o Beside that I'm way older than the average player.
Sadly that is something most player's don't think about when they apply. They only see the power / fun admins 'might' gain. :>

As I'm just a PR and not PRA or something I don't know how they read / judge applications hence I should not talk about it. I doubt it's an easy task.

In my opinion. Events should be rarely going on with all the harassment and crap that goes on in era. The job of a PR should be to keep the game enjoyable for people to play, not have fun themselves. Just my 2 cents

Well you can see a reason why a staff team may abuse, and you may think they easy option would be to "remove their temptations" so theyre basicly normal players but i think as azrael said, since staff arnt payed "the benifits we get is basically what keeps us going" sad but true in a sence their fame is their payment.

Why does everyone care about Staff so much?

It used to be classic vs era arguments, but ever since the new admins were picked it seems like era players are hating on each other and to me some have just lost it.

I've always been a firm believer in allowing players more freedom personally.
Ever since I first started as PR, i've always thought Player Relations were too involved with players and that this is why things are as they are now, if staff are less involved, they wouldn't be as idolised and a lot more would and could be done, and there would also be less need for so many PR's

I miss our original staff. Tink came back, wich is nice. Auron never left but for example Jatz and Masa. Forgotten Admins that only few know about :o

Jatz isn't an original staff member lol..

The older generation of PR's were mostly experienced people and mostly not Iphone bred, which is better really given the population of Iphone itself.

Well, whats to change? most admins are quitting, getting fired...iEra is going nowhere now that i think about it

Tbh I liked the fact that admins were social and had an obvious presence in the game. But how things are going, it's becoming ridiculous.

Tink broadcasts "hosting a party" almost every day for some member in her gang just for the hell of it. I remember her broadcasting twice for the same person simply because they got 1000h in game. Not really "party" worthy. Yesterday she hosted one for holigain just because.

Admins are now picking favorites and it seems they become staff to socialize rather than actually be staff.

Seeing as half our staff has iPod, I feel socialization should be left to that and when you're on PC, you should focus on your job rather than hosting parties for your favorites(this is one of many examples, and no hate on Tink. Just an observation)

Another thing that bugs me is when a staff member spars or bases.

1) it's not exactly fair
2) while they are basing or sparing someone is getting harassed or genuinely needs a staff members help
3) they could be doing it from their iPhone

Graalonline is based off of a Zelda game(if you ever played one for like GBA, you'd see the immediate similarities) at one point it was called Zelda Online or something. Yes you need to pay to play(or rather have full benefits on pc) which also applies to iPhone servers seeing as you have to pay $2.99 for full features. It seems to have mixed facts with opinion. Idk if graal is a scam, but the last sentence is a lie. Staff do not get paid

Or think of this idea: trial staff, kinda like trial GPs. They are given the admin powers but are monitored and after an allotted amount of time and they show themselves worthy, they get hired. That way, we have less 10 year olds like Mariah and more mature people, like Aya or Cat612.
And for the spam part, sneak (is that what its called?) And answer questions using the chat box, not PMs.

They get just dragging and warping power I'm sure.

Graal has been around for over a decade, yes it first originally had issues with copyright back then, however things have been changed and now their are no issues with such things inregards to the main part of the game, else they'd still not be able to operate o.o

its a scam they want you to waste money on the items thats stupid thats why i scam shovels and dig my way

i only wasted $15 on the game probably other noobs wasted like $500 or more i know a dude that wasted $700

New Staff are monitored closely in their first weeks in terms of jails, items, etc.
