Okay 4-Lom, I am going to try to answer your question.

In the last horseracing thread, it was determined with enough evidence that Alexa was hacking.
However, this thread is slightly difficult as the time gap between 1st and 2nd is more acute than last time; thus it's theoretically possible that Ruby was indeed hacking, but it's still unknown.

Now, the only reason this thread exists is that it causes people to have an aneurism and start beefs against each other over a damn horserace, thus giving the trolls a match to light the flame war and make the situation worse. In the end, the topic has been, and will still be, a stupid thing to talk about.

In short, it would be advisable for Colin or Shmegg to close this thread before this dispute gets way over the boiling point.

Look, last I checked or when I was admin, most we could do was to disconnect a player and stop them from using any form of hacking. I don't know whats being used now. Sadly, thats how it used to be or is.

"Was", thank God.

Okay, Re-read my post and analyze what I'm saying. You can make your point without being mean.

There's a fine line between trolling and looking for answers. The previous thread was deleted, and I pointed out a similar circumstance in order to bring attention to the same issue. If some people can't have a discussion regarding a topic without calling names or getting all self righteous, it's not my problem. I would like to see some sort of cheat prevention, even though I rarely (if ever) participate in the areas of the game where it would be of benefit.

No one is re-reading it. In fact... congratulations, I'm ignoring you. One of the few.

Reemas is stupid and Paddie is ******ed

its best to ignore them.

There's a speed hack detector in every server (assuming there is, era has one and it kept detecting every player who moves a bit faster.) she probably did not get ban cause it's not justified and has not enough evidence.

Saeed 04-20-2017 08:13 AM

No, there is no "speed detector" in iClassic.
Half of the people in the thread are just trolling, she doesn't hack.

I don't know the term lol

Thallen 04-20-2017 09:42 AM

Since cringelords like PumaD/Terry actually seem to have taken my comment from page 1 seriously, I'll clarify by saying that Ruby doesn't hack and if she did then these numbers wouldn't prove it based on what we've seen from Alexa

Clown 04-20-2017 12:18 PM

From my own perspective of cheating in the past and dealing with speed hackers as a staff member, the majority of players will use a standard accelerator to speed up their framerate, therefore speeding up their movement in-game.

No **** right? As Asaiki stated, the Ol'West, Era and Zone servers all have a frame rate checker that determines every player on the server's framerate, every second or so. A lot of nubs will get Insta-jailed as soon as they turn the thing on and run around like sonic. Last time I checked, Classic doesn't have one of these.
However the slightly more intelligent nubs will try and setup hotkeys on cheat engine that toggle the accelerator on/off so that they speed up by maybe 1.2x their framerate for half a second, and then back to the standard 1x framerate everyone has. This is to avoid the server check and still gain a considerable speed boost in the process, Ive seen it countless times.

But if they were really smart and knew the game mechanics, they would just find the default walkspeed value of the server and just adjust that, as no server has a detection for that. Not advisable though, since this type of speed hacking is blatantly obvious - hence why a lot of speed hackers in races just toggle an accelerator on/off

But you and I both know Ruby does not speed hack, and you posted and worded this thread to make fun of the people who were discussing Alexa.

All horses now go the same speed at the horse race track if anyone sees someone win by a massive margin you can be sure it is not due to them using a faster mount.

Contact support.toonslab.com and include the times if you come across someone cheating.
