Who is Silver?

Developer that's been with Zone for a long time

It's a codename for someone we have undercover in the staff team. He's there to gain power and take over. He's the leader of our rebellion. We don't reveal the members of our group, and "Silver" goes by a different name in-game, but is simply used as a codename. Most people know about our rebellious group and our leader, though, however they don't know Silver's true identity.

As I said, no one is really qualified to be a manager, but we have to chose the most qualified ones. Activity wise, Silver would be the best choice.

I would bring back Tashkin. Although you all may not have known him personally - unless you were staff - he had intentions to help Zone. He may have not released the best things but he did have good ideas. We were just never introduced to talented enough artists that were able to create actual futuristic stuff. I've heard some of his ideas for Zone before he resigned and I actually really like them.

He was very active (literally on RC 24/7 and Skype 24/7) and if I ever needed help from him script-wise or just help with something in general he was able to assist me. He was able to work his way around the server easily because he understood everything, I guess it was because he managed there for a long time. I looked up to that guy and wish he came back.

Hey guys, managing is really hard. Imagine yourself getting promoted and getting all the rights you need to manage a server and access to everything. Then imagine yourself having to fix something.

Get this: There are at least 100 weapons, 75 NPCs, and at least 200 classes. You have to find something that was scripted probably a year or two ago and go through 1000+ lines of code to find the little error. Then you realize that that npc class or weapon is joined to ANOTHER one and you have to go through that next one. Its hard, especially with a server with no Coding Team!

If I had to pick the managers I would pick FRIED RICE and Silver. Seeing the staff team right now they'd be a great fit and a perfect duo. Silver wants to really help out the server and make it all around better, he has the urge to make it better. He always asks for assignments and I see him on Discord always talking about ideas and such. He's a great guy! And FRIED wants to do the same exact thing. I have worked with FRIED for about 2 years and he's been working hard to learn GS2 and script things for the server, and he's making a lot of progress. I love the guy to death. We have shared a lot of conversations and you all may not know him that well but he is a great fit for the management position.

I couldn't see anyone who deserves the positions more.

If only carlito and chelt would finally leave we can start making progress with Silver and FR as managers, we're just wasting time with the clueless delt staff

No, we aren't wasting time with the Deltarian staff right now. I think we've been viewing this the wrong way. From what I've been told, they are in no way permanent. They are re-aligning the team to work more effectively, not joining.

The staff team doesn't seem to have the capacity, the work force, to create the content players want. There needs to be a meet-in-the-middle.

How are people who are new to zone and don't really know much about it gonna be reliable as managers? Carlito doesn't even do anything except play league all day, and chelt can't script. Thats just ridiculous to even attempt this when there are people who we already know has general knowledge of the game, can actually script, and actually has good ideas and motivation, like Silver, who should've been manager long ago. We don't need Carlito because he doesn't have the motivation to do the job, or leadership skills, we don't need chelt because he only got the position cuz carlito gave him a handout yet he doesnt even know how to script and doesn't know how things around the game work within each other, and both are completely full of crap, yet carlito seems to be unaware of it and chelt is aware yet continues this facade like he's our savior; to even think that they would be a better team of managers than Silver and FR is just dumb at this point. There wasn't any need for some "meet in the middle", we have people that can do the job but aren't getting the chance to even do it because management scum like chelt and carlito got appointed. We have no need for these two being here and we're wasting time by having them here.

No need to worry. They aren't going to make a lasting impression on Zone (well, not giving Zone a Delterian vibe or anything)

But overall its still a waste of time because we have better people for this already

Oh well. Zone is going to change. Not sure if people will remember that I was part of it. But it will definitely make a lasting impression on Zone and change it in good ways, at least that's what I think and actually most of the staff members do. Who know what we are working on ^_^

Me too! They were definitely the comedians of the team. I remember when we had a halloween quest and in the spooky work area it had Staff NPC's sitting down in chairs saying "Ah this is so much work!", and then I added an NPC of Latte and had her chat say "My butt itch" lol

I would share what FRIED and I had planned and the projects we got finished and/or were working on - I don't know if it's still being worked on but it was definitely promising - but I don't want to get myself into trouble. It would make you guys second-guess FRIED and I's worthiness of the Management position :)..

I <3'd you. But after you became manager, you started thinking this thing called your "life" was important, and became less active on Zone. :( I wiah you'd be manager again, though.

Well when I was first manager we did good with map updates and updates in general, but then school was coming close to an end and I had to start getting my grades up before it was too late. That's exactly how PerfectDark came to an end, he had so much schoolwork he had no time to log in!

I'm not sure about manager position, it puts a lot of stress on me. I tried to be good by interacting with players, hosting events, keep updates rolling in, but it became too much work with school, a girlfriend, and life in general.
(I would get home from school and have to read through at least 30 people's chats on Skype, from both players and staff members. Stress!)

But thanks Pig, miss you by the way :) You were the best Support Admin Zone ever had.
