I might hold off on this one, brawl wasn't as great in my opinion as I thought it would be. Personally I still think melee holds the crown as the best smash bros yet.

Yes same here, brawl was not that great, melee was still better than brawl.

I just liked brawl because of Lucario, Pit, and Metaknight. Besides that, melee is way better.

MK is broken

You clearly then have NEVER seen a dedicated mewtwo user then, sure, he may be like a freakin feather, but learn all his specials (especially the confusion and the flippy one) its absolute destruction and impossible to land hits.

I honestly do not beleve in tiers in melee, there is no tiers, its all about time, and dedication, once you get that, you can easily own people in the top class with a c class or lower character.

Go into brawl and theres teirs, for some characters, such as ganondorf who was my favorite in melee, just all the sudden absolutley sucked and attacks are slow af.

tier lists have nothing to do with my personal opinion, however i'm hoping i'll have some influence in the next game's metagame. better start posting on smashboards again

if you don't understand how they work that's good for you, don't try to pass them off as being nonexistant. you say i've clearly never seen a dedicated mewtwo player when you've obviously never seen a mewtwo main go up against one of the best players in the game.

tier lists are constantly being updated as the metagame changes, while they are in no way 100% accurate there is a consensus that they are the most ideal ranking given the state of the current metagame

I can defeat a Pit user with him. It's all about how to use his moves.

At a casual level he's still pretty good due to the fact that he has a strong KO move with no startup frames (down smash), four recovery moves (as well as five jumps and a glide), and his neutral B (mach tornado) has priority over most moves and he can't be knocked out of it.

At the highest level, he's the best character in the game because of the above reasons and the fact that most of his moves are near-instant and with little cooldown so there is little risk if you miss. He has the most options in any given situation, up until recently he has been the most used and most successful character in tournaments. He has the best matchups in the game as well (obviously) His up B (the one where he spins in a circle then glides) is both lighting fast, has super armour for a few frames (means he takes no knockback) and has such extreme knockback you can KO most characters at around 40% provided you're both airborne.

In SSB5 they should add Sasuke, with his abilities and stuff from Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3. That game was the bees knees, man.

I guess I'd have to play someone who really knows how to use him to see what you mean. I get the instant attacks thing though. I won a tournament in high school with Marth and no one played as Meta Knight.

The current blood falcon skin for SSBB has a different insignia on the back as well as other parts of the outfit, but yeah, that would be cool.

Captain Falcon has yet to be announced.

They should have different attack sounds for different costumes (an idea).
For example, C. Falcon says "Falcon Punch!", but the Blood Falcon costume could change it to "Blood Punch!". Not as catchy though, but might be a cool idea.

She (they? I guess) looks far more interesting and less difficult to play than the ICs, I'm stoked, they are gonna be a decent character by the look of things. I wonder if they'll be able to be separated like the ICs, and if they have a desynch game. That could be terrifying.

Huh, I won an SSBB tourney last year too. The players were surprisingly knowledgeable about the competitive scene, and opted to ban MK.

Lucario was my main throughout my SSBB years. The aura mechanic and aerial prowess was too fun. I actually mained MK back when I played super-casually, didn't know he was so strong, I just liked his character from the Kirby games. Changed because when I started playing comp, people frowned upon me using MK.

banning MK is the dumbest thing in the entire world

Not really his basic attacks could stop combos anywhere, he could fly, his b attack (the tornado) made him stupidly quick and in generel he was a broken character that i used in my advantage whenever i went online :)
