Fail.

Event coins = events.
Achievements = achievements, achievements aren't meant to be used a primary source for event coins, more of a "booster"
I recently got Event Items Banned from the auction house because they A) put a price on the items, B) demeans the idea of working for that long term goal of event items C) ruins those long term goals.

Most games have some sort of pigeon hole, if you have a crap computer playing online games, you're at a disadvantage, is that the game makers fault? no. It's generally yours for not keeping up with the times and living in a stoneage where you think everything should be dummed down for your device.
Most of these younger devices were not designed for heavy game usage, they were designed for music, small internet use and very lite games.. stop expecting more than what your device can do.

Some people just don't have the money for upgrades.

And I still don't like the whole Ec thing from achievements...for many people, it is a main source for Ec. It should only be used to get maybe 4 or 5 ecs, at most.

I know, i've been in the situation before.. but none the less its how technology goes these days, keep up or get left behind.

I was against it personally.
