also i dont think this raiding and war stuff applying to domestic ideas is a good idea, how about a specific war area of the city, and a specific always protected city area?
|
That just doesn't exist. Part of the fun of raiding is being strategic about it. For example, Marker and I first went to Exoria to kill the plants and animals knowing it would trigger a state of direst and internal conflict for Exoria. The next morning we destroyed all the trees, which certainly would have been an issue once discovered. We were eventually going to attack.
The point is that wars which are strategic and not just fight, fight, fight! will probably be more successful and a lot more fun. There's just too many opportunities with the cities open to move to war-designated battlefields.

also the locked furnace stuff needs to be stopped, and you should probably get rid of the raids it just seems to cause problems, im telling you, allowing griefing of domestic player owned stuff will just cause hurt feelings and people to get upset, its stressful, and youve got to listen allowing stealing of items and griefing is not something you should ever do. how about a death chest mod or something that allows players to kill eachother but not steal items?
|
First of all, locked furnaces will be disabled. Anybody trying to abuse chests, doors, or signs will get in trouble.
The server is PVP. Raids will not be allowed unless there's a reasonable chance that the raiders can get caught (enough players in the opposing kingdom online). The new ********iefing rules and regions during non-war times will certainly help a lot of people enjoy the server more.

Yea that was my idea, each place has a raid/fort area that can't be changed to be unfair and the opposite team has to break the wool flag and put the wool of their color as the flag on four of the forts that make up the corners of the city wall. Only then can they enter the castle and take over.
|
That's organized. The server is meant to be chaotic, at least during war times. What exactly does it take to make a kingdom surrender? That's up to the kingdom.

In a raid, is there any limits? Like no destroyed 1/2 or more of the kingdom, etc? Because they could just come wreck us all at night D:
|
Well, there is no limit. Keep in mind that if a kingdom is being destroyed then the leader can surrender and immediately protections will be re-enabled. Raids, however, have to be supervised by an OP who will not allow the kingdom to raid unless their victim has enough players online. So if a kingdom has five people online, and another has two, then no raid. If one kingdom has four people online and the other has five, then I'll say "Raid away!"

Instead of warring at the castle or town of another kingdom, why not have battlefields or something for warring? Seems to be an easy solution, imo.

Again, the server isn't going to be so organized. Fighting is expected to be spontaneously and like in medieval times.
