I think the gnomes are secretly terrorists and the bombers cave is a bomb silo, then there can be a quest where the gnome warlord offers you a job to launch a hydrogen bomb at graal city but you decline and he gets pissed so you have to escape.

I always thought the gnomes were a joke on Mexicans seeing as they're always the ones working.

Stefan got his account name Bomber from a game he had made before Graal called Bombermad, which was just a multiplayer Java Bomberman clone. That's actually how I found Graal way back. xD
