Rondo bout to have career highs in assists with Lebron

Comyt 07-02-2018 11:39 PM

honestly with luke walton valuing ball movement it has potential to be something beautiful, like chris paul/james harden. a lot weirder though with kcp being the only player capable of making a three pointer, maybe they force everything at the rim instead? idk

Westbrook Graal 07-02-2018 11:52 PM

are you serious? lebron/rondo/ingram/kuzma/stephenson can shoot 3s at a decent clip. just not as frequently as kcp but thats his speciality so understandable

Comyt 07-02-2018 11:59 PM

rondo shooting? i love the dude and i think people really underrate his shot making ability but i still realize it isn’t great, i don’t see any of the guys as knockdown shooters rn. i’m imagining the lakers transition offense now though and it could be insane, there’s gonna be so many outlet passes it’ll start looking like football. another problem i’m seeing though is that they don’t really have a good defensive team, kcp is #1 for them there too, then lebron and rondo.

in other news julius randle joined the pelicans, raises a lot of questions about boogie’s future. randle/mirotic both off the bench if they keep boogie? kinda weird. seth curry joined the trailblazers, adding another 3 point god guard to a team lacking in other areas. nerlens noel joined the thunder, i think he has potential to be a good player but just seems to be more interested in causing drama than proving his worth, so not sure how to feel about that one either.

add-on again: lakers locker room gonna be suspect as hell if they retain isaiah thomas. not only because of his drama with lebron but rondo really pissed him off by undermining his achievements with the celtics. there is also the famous picture of rondo smiling next to a “lebron is a bitch” shirt that comes to mind. and i don’t even need to comment on the lance vs lebron saga.

THE ROAD TO SUCCESS FOR EVERY DECENT WEST TEAM IMO:
Lakers- Get off ball superstars (pg13, hayward, capela type people) who can work off of lebrons brilliance. Play the rookie guys off the bench, work mainly in free agency. 1 year deals this season

Thunder- westbrook plays less ball dominant, replace melo or trade him for a kevin love type guy who can stretch and get rebounds. Either roberson learns how to shoot or REPLACE HIM WITH AVERY BRADLEY. similar defensive skill but avery bradley MUCH better offensively.

Pelicans- GET A SMALL FORWARD!!! julius randle signing was excellent, he'll fit better than boogie because boogie/AD clash similarly to blake/drummond. if they can resign boogie trade him for a SF or get the best available SF who can score, that's their clear weak point. Hayward would fit perfectly

Rockets- Arizas gone, hope melo ends up a free agent and sign him for a small deal. Drill him into a smaller role, he's a star starter when he's not ballhogging.

Warriors- do nothing, small nick young type signings if possible.

Nuggets- Try to retain this team, try to keep porter jr healthy

Clippers- Overhaul and rebuild. Nowhere near contending, no assets to move for stars, decent roster atm, would only be in place for contention if 2-3 big names signed there which won't happen.

Spurs- try to trade kawhi for as much value as possible if he won't stay next season like what the pacers did with paul george. young defensive minded people. Look to the G league as well for guys like johnathan simmons who could maybe make an impact. If all else fails, begin rebuilding.

Blazers- team overhaul, make moves to replace everyone besides nurkic/lillard/mccollum. prioritize 3/D guys in every spot besides those 3, maybe 1 or 2 decent slashers on the bench. Look for guys like demarre carroll, jae crowder, taurean prince, or if melo becomes a FA, replace nurkic with a better defensive center, and sign a defensive minded PF to make up for the lack of defense otherwise

Timberwolves- Retain butler, teague, wiggins, and KAT. this is a winning team with no injuries, look for a better coach who wont ruin his starters with too many minutes. improve the bench if possible.

utah jazz- look to draft good people in draft, sign sleepers out of the G league who can impact. otherwise no trades or moves.

HUGE UPDATE:
Pelicans just signed elfrid payton. Basically rondo jr, this teams gonna go places

I think boogie might be on a sabotage mission. He punches KD in the jaw when they face the lakers, KD gets injured, boogie gets ejected, the warriors lose. It's brilliance from coach luke walton

well in other news, the nba is officially closed. There's no actual way the warriors can be stopped now, their one weak point was draymond being undersized to defend huge guys (specifically someone like boogie) and the lack of defense/offense from that spot, and now they just got the guy whos debatebly the best center in the nba who, in his career averages 21-11-3.

The NBA is officially cancelled. Will be learning how to play lacrosse from now on and i'll be switching to that sport. Its officially over, the warriors have the best team in history.

All hope is not lost tho. If the thunder can get rid of melo, and he goes to houston and is willing to not play disgusting iso ball.....

they can stop gsw imo

MikvaGraal 07-03-2018 01:05 AM

Your an idiot Doug McDermott(McDerGOAT)is still an unrestricted free agent only he can save Lebron ass at this point

Thallen 07-03-2018 01:08 AM

I'm hoping Boogie signed such a **** deal because he anticipates sitting with his injury for the majority of this season and not because he's that thirsty for a ring already, for comparison JJ Reddick signed a 1-year $12m deal… If he does play, it's free ring for GSW, doesn't matter if he's coming off an Achilles injury

Also, the East is complete trash now minus Kyrie and Giannis

Is that a joke.....? John wall... kristaps...kemba.... hayward.... ben simmons. Embiid... many others

East has plenty of top individual players, theyre just often stuck alone on teams with bad coaches and supporting casts. Been a weak conference for awhile tho lebron leaving doesnt change anything. No east team will ever threaten the west

Weeno 07-03-2018 02:45 AM

what team y’all supporting now? Warriors or Lakers? I was going with Warriors cause I hated lebrons move and Rondo leaving the pelicans but now that boogie joined the warriors idek what to do any more. I mean I still hate Lebron for moving to the lakers soooo

Comyt 07-03-2018 03:37 AM

easily supporting the warriors over lakers, boogie is my favorite center.

imagine being the houston rockets organization with absolutely no draft picks or young players and having just paid chris paul 4 yr/$160M in hopes of winning a championship in 2019 lmao. rockets gonna have just james harden, a 35 year old chris paul, and a bunch of g-league all-stars while sitting in a lonely 8th seed in two years. in hindsight, shouldn't have traded their entire roster to the clippers if maybe two conference finals appearances is all they're gonna get for the next 10 years

Then melo comes in and jab steps his way into securing the rockets a chip.

Melo a top4 sf when he wants to be

Comyt 07-03-2018 05:08 AM

avery bradley resigned with clippers, i guess now you'll see what i'm talking about if they don't all get injured again.

after today's signings:
east: 1-15 unchanged
west: 1. warriors 2. rockets 3. lakers 4. spurs 5. clippers 6. jazz 7. nuggets 8. pelicans 9. thunder 10. trailblazers 11. timberwolves 12-15 unchanged
pelicans now have 4 competent players on their entire roster and one half-competent in ian clark, huge losses for them today.

edit: forgot elfrid payton as well

SolFessler 07-03-2018 03:44 PM

Nah, personally don't think clippers will be a playoff team. Lou will/avery bradley/pat bev/tobias harris all extremely solid supporting players but there's no real star on the team.

MVP: Giannis. ROTY: Porter jr if hes healthy. Mo bamba if hes not MIP: elfrid payton, otto porter jr, thon maker, dennis schroder clint capela, domantas sabonis will be candidates. Hard to tell this early. COTY: budenholzer, i feel like he'll get the bucks a lot of wins. very talented roster just no direction bcs of bad coaching. DPOY: rudy gobert, draymond, or anthony davis again. Maybe paul george or andre drummond can make a push
