I found the roundabout weapon to be very useful on cagney carnation, maybe try it?

It is but then I try to take in effect the parries I need to pull off. Phase 1 gets me especially when he does that attack where he shoots the seeds and they start coming down. Initial attack isn't hard to dodge but it's the minions/follow up attacks from those seeds that get me. Cagney's 2nd phase is pretty easy though, it's just the first giving me some trouble.

Use the shotgun and they can be taken down easily, personally i found the latter stages harder than the first. I usually just jumped down on the lower level and locked in place to just shoot them easier.

is there a chance of it being ported to switch or nah ?

I've been playing this with my sister and we've made it to world 3 so far. Co-op mode is actually really difficult. Screen sharing for the run and gun can be really challenging as well as trying to dodge projectiles with a second player on screen in boss battles. I also heard the health is higher and trying to get those high grades is more difficult as well. So yeah, really tough game. That's okay though because I love everything about it.

I bought it on release day and played it on Simple up until halfway through Island 3. After doing some reading that you cant get to the final boss on Simple I'm going back and playing everything on Regular. I'm back on Island 2 now. I kind of stopped playing though due to the difficulty.
