NXT Takeover Results

Overall a stacked show, especially seeing as they didn't include the Crews v Samson match. Nakamura vs Zayn might have just stolen the entire weekend with that match even though it was a slow start. Would give it and 8.5/10 overall.

DanteGraal 04-02-2016 01:42 PM

The Revival vs. American Alpha - ***3/4
Baron Corbin vs. Austin Aries - **3/4
Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Sami Zayn - ***** FIGHT FOREVER
Bayley vs. Asuka - ****1/2
Samoa Joe vs. Finn Balor - ****

Goodluck Wrestlemania, you're gonna need it.

i think jimmy neutron has this one in the bag

Agreed, it was an obvious prediction after last year's match up

What a f***ing s*** show, easily the worst Wrestlemania in recent memory.

My Thoughts

Title Matches:

- Predicable outcome between HHH vs Reigns. Didn't expect Steph to be speared though. The Tag Team match was alright but didn't really get my attention. IC ladder match was probably of the best matches of the night but didn't expect Ryder to win it (true underdog). US title match felt for dry and lacked excitement due to it being part of the kick-off show and no fan interactions. Women's Triple Threat was also a favorite match throughout WM32. Those ladies put on a show with each move they pulled. Plus the new belt defines what the division will be evolving from years to come.

Non-Title/Other:

- WWE continues to treat Bray's character as crap. This guy has potential to be a monster heel but unfortunately WWE books him to be merely a non-threat. The Rumble was very messy and looked like Jobber Royale (props to Corbin though). The Divas match wasn't too bad, sloppy at times but better than previous bouts. Predicable outcome between Usos and Dudlyz but would have preferred if it was a Tables Match. Figured AJ styles was going to win but seems Jericho can't lose back to back PPV's. Shane with the Leap of Faith was the best moment of the match with Undertaker.

Overall I give this WM32 a 7/10

Luckily for us wrestlemania is in facr the pre-show to one of the best shows...the RAW after wrestlemania.

That Rock/Wyatt/Cena segment hurt me on the inside

Yeah, HHH vs Reigns honestly felt like a Raw caliber match, nothing special other than the spear through the barricade which we've already seen him do before. Tag team match was meh, the league of nations are so uninteresting, and having them win made it that much worse. The IC title match is probably the only redeemable match of this entire PPV. The womens match was sloppy, they've had better matches on NXT.

The way they treat Bray Wyatt is just saddening to watch, so much potential, so much talent just wasted. Honestly the sight of all those people holding up their phones for his entrance was just amazing, turn him face and let him just wreak havoc. The Ambrose vs Lesnar match has got to be the most underwhelming match on the entire card, I think the Rocks entrance lasted longer than their match. Nothing really special or at all memorable about the match even the ending with him getting pinned by one F5 was dumb af.

You're a generous man, I'd give it a 5/10.

One of the worst things I have ever seen.

It was difficultt to watch at times and them muting all the crowd mics as well as lowering/muting Coles mic during the main event just made it so much worse. Genuinely made it seem like no one cared even with the boo's at least there's a reaction.

DanteGraal 04-04-2016 07:20 PM

Take a look at all the matches on the card and tell me if anyone for the long term came out looking good tonight.

Ryder winning helps no one since he's nothing more than a jobber and will lose the title in a week or two.
Jericho winning helps no one because he's a part-timer legend. League of Nation winning (and then getting rekt by 3 old men) helps no one because getting your ass kicked by retired wrestlers always makes you look weak. Charlotte winning is ok, but not the right choice honestly considering this was a brand new title and the other two have shown way more. She also needed the help from her dad for the 343th time.

Brock winning is fine, but Dean Ambrose getting squashed certainly won't help him. Especially not if you take into consideration the 2 months build prior to that where Ambrose was booked real strong.
Taker/Shane helped no one because one is about to retire and the other probably won't wrestle again after this. The Rock segment helped no one, and Reigns staying a face and winning the title certainly won't help him.

The rub constantly goes back to non-credible stars, part-timers, and legends, while the future of the WWE (Owens, Sami, Ambrose, Wyatt, AJ, New Day, etc.) all get nothing out of this.

3/10

Bryan* 04-04-2016 07:56 PM

Charlotte retaining is a good call because there's a possibility Bayley debuts tonight at Raw as a baby face and might chase after that championship to set up a Fatal 4-Way. I wonder since there's so many Women Tag Team matches that there isn't a Women's Tag Team belt.

Honestly, if Bray wasn't buried yesterday, if he interfered in HHH vs Reigns costing HHH the loss, that would have been a great feud to begin with after Mania (we seen Bray vs Reigns already). The only thing Rock did to put over Bray was that he had "mic skills and charisma" but destroying the family with Super Cena was pointless to do unless there's going to be a Wyatts vs Cena/Rock feud and the outcome should be Wyatts winning the feud (they need it badly).

Kuz 04-04-2016 08:36 PM

Charlotte shouldn't have won...her promos have been boring and she always puts a weird voice and speaks really slow...the crowd are usually quiet in her matches shes not charismatic enough. Flair just makes her look weak too and lowers her credibility.

It'll be interesting to see who styles faces next too.

Having shane lose was kinda weird bcuz they brought him bck just to have him lose...I was really hoping a brand split would occur...but oh well.

Also I dont think Bayley will debut since shes in an ongoing story with Asuka at the moment.

Hoping wyatt finally feuds with brock and goes over or goes for the title.

P1 04-04-2016 09:26 PM

Other than Charlotte and Ryder the younger full-time talents had a really bad showing. Just makes them overall look like complete s***, it undermines the work they've put in to building the likes of The New Day, Ambrose, AJ and a few more. I've even got a feeling that Ryder only won just to set up that stupid af snickers commercial and that hes gonna end up losing either tonight on Raw or very soon after.

Charlotte's promos come across so awkward and unnatural, if you pay attention you'll notice how her and Brie Bella pronounce every letter in every word. That being said, I don't mind her being the champion for a while to build up some prestige for the new belt. With Flair doing a fair bit talking on her behalf, I can tolerate the times when she does have to cut a promo.

They treat Bray Wyatt like complete s***, I got a feeling by now its some sort of on going back stage joke to see how bad they can make him look. Despite all of the crap hes been given he still remains over with the crowd, the fireflies everywhere was an awesome sight. Just give him something semi-decent to do or send him back to NXT so he can tear it up.

Any predictions for debuts tonight on Raw?

Maryse is rumored to be coming back and Cesaro is probably healed from his injury now. Cena will probably win the US Title or Intercontinental tonight.
