steam punk

We could become more wacky and colorful (What izone to me looked like back then) or to dark sci fi which is what zone is somewhat looking right now

The problem atm is management. It's kind of hard to know what's going on unless you're part of the staff team, but from what I've experienced Elk won't be able to do much.

Basically.

Thank god! I'm sure Elk will do a fantastic job on the graphics team, I'm looking forward to seeing his work on the server. :)
Now all we need are quest writers and hope will be fully regained.

wasn't DIC the raconteur of iZone?

No. For storylines.

The quest writers position was a bad idea... or used poorly, at least. Many of the people that were hired had average writing skills. The overdramatized everything and pretended they were good with their writing, but when you really read it... it wasn't great. The problem was they had them individually try to come up with a story. The story's the hard part and should involve the cooperation of many people, just like story writers in real life. Writing it is the easy part. We had young people as quest writers who didn't know correct grammar uses or spellings, along with them creating their own story which was usually overdramatized and complex. Then there was the lack of everything getting completed. Levels needed to be made, GFX probably needed to be created, NPCs needed to ne scripted, and so on.

It wouldn't fit unless everything else was also a hologram. And then it would just seem weird... However, I'm not implying that our current trees look fine.

I'll be honest, I'm down for something like this, as long as it matches with the other graphics updates.

I liked those trees someone showed (possibly even you) that were from some movie/game? The trees glowed. That looked cool.
