Sadly I think this would be too easily abuseable. I wouldn't mind seeing that they drop your chances to get into an event if you'd been in one recently, or raise your chance if you hadn't been in one in awhile, but that'd be a lot of numbers to keep track of.

like the idea, but sounds like too much work for something so(relatively) trivial.

For not causing any issues in a month? So like 95% of players get a pass each month? Anyway, your pass idea is the same thing, the queue goes by who clicked first, so your pass would also kick people off the list since if you were too late, and the "higher chance to join" would just mean you kicked someone who clicked first, off the list.

The point is, its still much better than the old system, even if it would take a while if too many people wanted to join, its better than never getting into an event.

The issue I have with your idea is that admins have to give them out. I think thats a horrible way to do your idea, why not do it automatically? But then everyone would just have a pass and thats the same as no one having a pass. How would the admins know who followed the rules? The only people they hang out with is their friends so they would get the passes by default and normal players wouldnt get ****.

I like your idea of players who have broken the rules to be whitelisted from events for a bit though.

I would say, if people were to get a higher chance every time they don't get into the event, their chance increases.

BUT!!! Only if they have not logged off, so once they log off their increased chance goes back to normal.

But the point of the thread wasn't just about getting into events, it was meant to give people a reward for not breaking the rules.

No, bring back warpers, then everyone has the same chance.

A big reason they removed warpers is because a ton of people in one area trying to get inside a tiny portal takes a toll on the server. With the queue system people can join from any part of the map so it's not congested into one area.

Thats a good idea too, I always liked it when an admin said "warp in snowtown" or something and it was a race to get to it first. Only problem I can see with it is newer players not knowing where to go to get to the warp.

there

Event keys aren't that bad an idea...they would be rewarded for good behavior sooo just like cookies? Cookies aren't given commonly either so it's not like people with event keys would clog the system.

Also to people who think event warpers add "skill" or an "even chance." Uhhh no lmao "even chance" is literally the queues where you're randomly chosen to get in. The skill is in the event itself, skill isn't being one the 50 people that happen to be closest to where the warper is spawned. Idk what you all go on about thinking ya'll have "skill" rampaging across the map on your mount with an army of 3k other noobs to get your *** to snowtown when 50 people who were farting around in the hat shops around the area got to the warper 2 minutes before you.

Obviously, you never experienced warpers. The admins would give clues, not the location, hell, sometimes they had to give multiple hints because people never found them.

The queue system gives no chance, since introduced, i've been in about 2 events because of how many people join. Good luck getting in when you want. Atleast with warpers you had a bigger chance.

Ya, that's why there was a guild that managed to monopolize the entire system to themselves...

Areo 02-10-2016 07:35 PM

I've always envisioned having a round of trivia to decide who gets to go in the event, fastest answers get in. Hard part is that's too much work for an administrator to go through to host an event.

Ehhh, it was never really that difficult, most of the time the hint was easy enough to figure it out right away. If it wasn't obvious, by the time you figured out the general area of where to look, hundreds of people would already be dashing in the same direction ahead of you. Even when it's a challenging hint, chances are the people that happen to be standing nearby are going to get to the warper first by dumb luck of wandering around their surrounding buildings.

The events themselves should require skill/be fun, not getting in the event. Getting in should be pure chance. The fact that it's getting harder to get in the events is more the rising playercounts fault than the switch from warpers to queues.

Awful idea

I would say finding the warpers was some times more fun than the event. But idk. Regardless it will never be the same. Rip events

That would make the game p2p, and that's not what graal is about.

Or at least not what classic is about.
