Exactly. Even if we say the universe was created by Big Bang, what created that and then what created that that created that. Sooner or later you have to come to the conclusion that something had have always existed and it has to go beyond our comprehension.

It doesn't matter what answer you give for "what created the universe", its going to be something that we don't fully comprehend, or don't/can't have definite evidence for. Asking "what caused the Big Bang" or "what created God" are reasonable questions, because..
1. They are both the catalysts for existence, there wasn't something before them, if there was something before them then The Big Bang or God are irrelevant to our question, because they weren't the beginning.
2. We are defining these things as the beginning of time, meaning there was nothing before them, simple as that. There was nothing before the beginning, just like there is nothing before the beginning of the first page of a story.
3. If you have your own definite viewpoint on this ("I believe in God" or "I believe in The Big Bang"), unless you are willing to admit that your creation story had to have had something greater cause it, you have no right to demand what caused someone else's creation story.
