Psycho-Pass, Death Note, Terraformars, Claymore, the ones that are more bloody and action oriented.
Plastic Memories, Mushishi first season, Anohana, Guilty Crown. Ones that are just sadish.

I found DanMachi to be far lackluster, holds every same problem that I had with SAO, trash plot, main character with too much plot armor and is some how a chick magnet. All of bells actions makes me cringe because of how cheesy and generic it is. Just like SAO, Except with DanMachi, there wasn't the potential that SAO had, just straight up lack luster. Main reason why it's so popular is because of the whole Hestia Boob String craze.

I agree but I would still have to say it has been my favourite series thus far. The other series listed in the original post do not really offer anything new either. Owari no Seraph for example, I had some moderate hopes for since it included vampires. Nevertheless, the plot revolving around an apocalyptic disease and revenge has been done over many times by other anime. Thus, I have tried to remain positive in regards to all other anime since it is very difficult to come up with a unique plot. Therefore, I tried to highlight some of DanMachi's more positive aspects, "entertainment value, romantic comedy" etc. Nevertheless, this spring season has become just ok overall. The anime mentioned in the original post have all been entertaining but not one really has stood out as a "this will be the one" type of deal. However, I believe this is not a bad thing. I have enjoyed the mediocre anime presented in Springs 2015 line up and wouldn't really care if we saw another "big anime" like Attack on Titan and such.

Danmachi over Kekkai Sensen, wut?
Danmachi over Plastic Memories, wut?

If you want a grand series just wait till November for One Punch Man.

Kakkai Sensen is awesome so don't talk **** about the stuff I like, scrubs.

Wolfie 05-13-2015 02:11 AM

I haven't seen Kekkai Sensen. Am I missing out on something

5hift 05-13-2015 02:11 AM

I love it, one the best in this entire season.

Kekai Sensen kinda depends on the week. A few episodes have been boring imo.

Really, im a little disappointed in several series i had high hopes for.

Dear Twilit

I have to disagree with your statement there on Kekkai Sensen. Kekkai Sensen is a unique and different show that brings Japanese culture and mannerism into a American cultural landscape and society. It has a lot elements from Durarara and has this weird element that makes it strangely resemble Kill La Kill. I find it disappointing that you, Twilit of all people find it not 'interesting'. It is one of the most unique shows of 2015 and with Bones producing the show, its bound to have a good track record.

Lots of love xoxoxo

Although you could probably care less about my opinion since liking DanMachi is a crime I guess, I agree with Twilit. Kekkai Sensen has been good but it has not been great. I originally had high hopes for it since it reminded me of Durarara!! but only a few of the episodes have really been memorable. Nevertheless, as I have stated before just because I think a show is good doesn't mean it is bad or anything. I have hopes with the ending of episode 6 since it looks like we will get some more conflict Black and maybe some more character development with him.

Dear Ash Ketchum

I do not disagree; Kekkai Sensen is quite unique. Nor did I say the series is not interesting as a whole; it is. I am also very pleased with the artwork and the "New York" scenery. I simply meant that some episodes I find entertaining, while other episodes are not so entertaining. The series has not yet developed a main plot, and it is easy for such series to be "hit and miss." However, I am quite curious what "strange resemblance" you see with Kekkai Sensen and Kill la Kill.
