I'm pretty sure all ios server have a trade system except iclassic.
Why can't classic have one?

Exactley! I think even delteria will have one!

Old Player- *sees new player with rare event hat*
Old Player - "Hey! Want to trade hats?"
*rips off new player by trading him a worthless hat for his event hat*

THAT'S why this idea won't happen. Scamming is very likely.

The thing is that trade tables serve no real purpose for classic since it isnt a pay2win server.

Delteria's trade system makes sense because it helps players that are leveling up to use the trade system to save money when upgrading weapons. Allows "teams" to lend certain items to other members of the team to have a better chance of completing certain dungeons.

I used to use multiple noob accounts to get slime spoils from Rezon(the giant blob) and then i would transfer them to my main account which allowed me to get all the hats, mounts, and bomb pretty fast. I made sure to post it in graalians multiple times, so certain people would take notice. Now you cant get spoils without being identified.

Point being that trade tables would allow people to abuse the system. You can have a couple identified accounts and just use them to do the pyrate quest daily. Once a nexus or onnet sale came out the player would use those accounts to buy hats and trade them to himself for a 50 gralat chair.

Another thing that might happen is players being scammed for real money. i could tell someone I would trade them something rare in exchange for an itunes card or whatever.

Not unless they make it where you can have a certain amount of hours like 500+?

Oh the itunes, they could put it in the news not to like they did with udid

Still no, I sent Xor a message a while ago saying 'Omg, imagine if Classic had trade tables' he was like 'Haha!'

Or something along those lines.

I used to play an old game where it was all about trading. If the players were using the same IP address they would have to check a box that said "This is not an Alternate account that I am trading with, etc, etc." If you didn't check the box, your trade wouldn't go through, If you did, they would review the trade and all the other trades that you made with the player in your IP address to make sure you weren't cheating.

Do you actually think staff would be able to check every trade on the server considering the large playerbase and the amount of trades people would want to do?

Pretty sure someone pretty high up said "no". So that will be your answer, for now, and forever.

I would consider the bidding for items a sort of trade.

Colin 08-21-2014 04:00 AM

no sir no bidding either

No I just randomly responded to your post without reading any of it. I guess I can see it differently, but it's still a job for staff to do by checking trades which I doubt anyone would want to do because you would still get a lot of them.

Before you jump on my ass and say "ugb another one of these threads" just listen. How can a system that trade a hat-for-hat or hat-for-furniture item etc etc no gralats involved. Therefore it won't ruin the value of the item which I still don't get. This is a easy system, and if its flawed, explain how, thank you.
