I'd rather stay inside and eat KFC You should know who old players are regardless of a hat or not, obviously if someone has 50 hours they weren't an old player. |
Although I don't agree with the approach Fire Surge is showing I do agree with the message, Classic needs to be more creative and make new items.
|
For the record, older players also sometimes miss out on certain things too. It's not just the newer players. For example, I saw someone with 5000+ hours wearing the horns.
I don't think it's a big deal if they occasionally re-sell a couple old hats that were originally sold in a hat shop for a long period of time. These hats are more "old" than they are "rare". If they were to re-sell hats that were sold exclusively at revolution or nexus a long time ago, or old hats that were really expensive, that would be a different story. |

go figure, I open this thread and see some of the same people who call successful towerers "hat chasers" and pride themselves in not caring about hats complaining about a hat being resold because they no longer feel as if it gives them some superior status within the community because they had it first
ha ha haaa (not saying I do or don't agree with them being resold) |

Fire Surge in yet another thread crying because someone else has a hat
yaaawn, just another day on Graalians |
For the record, re-selling hats (and other items) isn't new. In fact, they used to do it a lot more in the past.
I recall an old rev/nexus where they sold all the solid colour octo hats for 100 gralats each (I don't remember if they also had the animated ones). They sold jiggle and snowstorm on more than one occasion. They re-sold my precious skeletal horse once, as well as the blue ghost horse (in the token shop). Like I said earlier in the thread, the Black Halo was originally 5000 gralats. There's plenty more examples. They've actually gotten better at preserving old items and understanding the rarity factor. |
