@NAS, check the official graal forums, SNK Has a scripting application for iEra available.

It is a good opportunity to get affiliated with mobile servers -- with access to a dev server for testing -- and fp4 is right, there are frequent projects that any scripting help is always appreciated on.

Something that would not hurt either, are to make major contributions as far as scripting to the community. (ex: Pix's Level Editor, FP4's NPC Editor) and so on, and get your name and abilities out there.

The only problem with this ethic is that era is not classic and will not benefit from his scripting skills.

WHY ARE WE THROWING THE CHANCE TO GET MORE CONTENT- TO OTHER SERVERS THAT ARE P2W AND WORSE THAN CLASSIC

Nas already has a reputation of being a great scripter, if he wants to work on the server I see him being hired.

Regardless of what he has done in the past, he is a great scripter and would be a good addition to any server who needs coding to get done. I wish him the best of luck.

Agreed. Seems as if this NaS guy is a damn good scripter and Classic is just flat out saying no. Then again Classic has a very good scripting team as of now. Maybe they'd like for him to get some more experience?

Team? It's just Dusty, and Fp4 on occasion. The guy said he's been playing 13 years and is basically 100% fluent with Gscript. There's not really more experience you can get? Classic is like the only server that doesn't want scripters. No idea why, since it has the highest playerbase, yet the lowest amount of them.

They don't really have the good creative passion that scripters can bring. It might be xor, or it might be stephans wishes. But classic doesn't like to go outside the norm too much.
Good somewhat kinda new updates, that were creative, were the
bug catching,
looting,
archery range,
events,

experienced scripters are needed to bring stuff like this. but someone in charge must think that it is not necessary to make the server thrive.

Hahahah what about Delteria? Isn't mystical dragon the only scripted, since he fired the other good ones?, and he is terrible.

They have to be very careful in who they give scripting rights too. Seeing as they have many paying customers and scripters probably are the best people to cause destruction to a server. You have to be 100% trustworthy in the long run. They can limit your rights in the beginning but eventually they will give you more rights, and if they think there is a chance that you will go rogue and say f*** it, then they probably won't hire you. Idk

Then they just backup the server to before the damage was done. gg

You must not be familiar with PiX?

I am not in a position to speak about Classic's needs for staff or projects, but the person that has a say in the matter has spoken -- it's invite only. I simply suggested some ways NaS can contribute without possibly contributing directly to increase his chances for an invite?

When it comes to mobile environments, security is an issue as well, and opening up that realm to potential candidates isn't as easy or common of a practice as many believe.

Look at it this way -- with a few basic rights set up and control over the NPC Server I could do just about anything I wanted up to and including things that a "simple backup" would still cause a major inconvenience to players and other developers. It's like asking a stranger off the street to hold your wallet while you go change pants.

Not familiar. I guess he's another scripter?

and the backups cause some inconvenience. But I have seen it happen a couple times before and it's not the biggest deal. It's a small price to pay for the chance to have someone be able to contribute a lot to the game. This guy obviously has a well made backup and the developers should at least look into his past, or contact his past managers to see what they have to say about him. That is how real jobs work

That's not the point, your staff should be professional, and in a scripters case totally reliable. Dusty and fowlplay 4 have been trusted members for numerous years. Backing up a server would cause a lot of headaches due to a lot of players progress being lost etc.

No pay? Oh boy!

Just kidding. That's okay. I've been working on Graal for years with no pay. Why, for about 13 years or so now to be precise! All of that GS1 experience made it easy to learn GS2, though, and all of that GS2 experience makes it easy to get hired, or so I'd hope.

I am one of the best scripters left on PC Graal. Of course, that means I know that FP4 is not one to respond to people randomly contacting him. I tried emailing Xor, but to no avail. Who checks email these days?

There is no official NAT application, or no scripting admin or anything like that to contact?

And you just created an account on graalians.com in 2014...?

The scripting team position is invite-only.

Also I don't do any hiring of any kind, I really only get involved when there's a project or bugs that need addressing. If there's a need for another NAT you'll be kept in mind.

I would recommend getting experience on iEra or iZone, they're way easier to get hired on and probably have projects or something they want a NAT for.

You should reconsider having someone hire him. It's not like he's some newbie asking for a job. From what I have seen he is as good as he says and someone willing to help couldn't possibly hurt. Put him to work on iClassic don't send him to another server -_-

Maybe we can finally get a "Focus" command added to spar or a 1v1 quicktourney style event added that people have been asking for for like I dunno ever?

You sure you have the right email? I usually get a response back from him.
