This is the real reason the railroad took so long to complete. They couldn't come up with puns or one liners for loot items.

I need to go change my pants

I got two bricks. No other 'special' or 'rare' stuff, like those named weapons and things (dagger of famine?).

So far, my only wonder is why people all rush out to sell their stuff. Seems like we're just waiting for a crafting or exchange system with all that crap laying around...

Dusty 11-21-2013 08:03 AM

There won't be a crafting system. The goal was just to provide players with a lot of items to find so you wouldn't keep getting the same 10 items over and over. So it was hard to think of a lot of items to put in water that made sense... which is why there are items like that. It's just implying a world from long ago where these items existed but were lost over time in the water and such. This is why many of the descriptions for items that SEEM functional imply that they no longer are for various reasons.

Besides being able to turn some into hats/furniture, there was never any intention for them to become useful. It's all about selling.

I'm on that water amulet and dagger of famine swag

I think I would rather see less items and get them over and over again if it means having a better chance at getting the Zorbi hat or the Furniture Bricks.

Was there ever a definitive number given for the amount of loots there actually are?

I dont mean to be the idiot here, but what is this about loot? I havent played classic in a while, but this sparks my interest. What are they? When were they added? How does one get these? I'm very curious as to what this is.

There could be only 5 items and it still wouldn't increase your chances of getting the Zorbi hat. This is how weighted probability works :)

uhh. I got like 3 bricks, and NO Zorbi Hat. ;-; and a bunch of random stuff

A new quest was released a couple of weeks ago along with the revamped version of the rail raod which in itself is worth checking out.the quest aloud you to unlock the flippers and googles items which u can use to hunt for loot in water dark blue patches will appear in spots loot is present if u press the flippers when the exclemation mark appears above your head you should recieve a loot item which can be sold and in some rare item uses turned into furniture and hats part way through the quest u should find a cave which is littered with chests some refil daily much more was included in this update so check it out!

Samie 12-03-2013 08:24 PM

i really like looting, though they dont sell for much, its still fun :D
my only problem with the loot is for the strange brick, you cant control the layers.

Infernus Lapse 12-03-2013 11:27 PM

Also, could someone help me find and go through the quest? I was told it was the mask shop quest, but I didnt find a chest room or mask and flippers anywhere in the quest!

You need to complete the fishing guard part within that quest to unlock the ability to buy the fish off him which is then traded for the flippers.

Ah, where does that trade take place? And are there any more steps to take in order to be able to fully get looting capabilities?
