At e3 the only demos they showed had 1 big controller and 4 wiimotes.

So, I think thats going go be the setup....one big controller and the rest normal wiimotes.

However, Nintendo had said its completely up to developers. So I guess if some stupid game developer decides his game requires 4 big controllers, no ones gonna play. lol

They may be large, but they apparently are very light and comfortable to fit in your hand. Nintendo has openly stated as of the e3 release more than one controller was not possible for the wii u, but that is over a year and a half before the wiiU's release, so judging literally anything about the console from e3 is incredibly unreliable.

Word is the WiiU will only support two controllers at a time. Dunno if this has changed since that announcement, though.

**** me running! that better not be true... if thats true, that would be the end of competitive gaming on the wii. ssbm was the jesus of nintendo gaming.

Not true.. Don't forget that you can transfer the WiiU to the TV system so it can be up to 4 players instead of 2. Also keep in mind that Smash Brothers Universe is coming out and i don't think thats gonna be only up to 2 players.

yeah but remember that when smash bros came out for wii, the public clamored for a more controller-like......controller. No-one plays smash bros with a wii mote and nunchchuck. No one that wants to win anyway.

Dusty's point stands.

But that doesn't change how Smash Brothers is always up to 4 players..
Thats just asking for a new controller

the controler has a screen because if someone is using or blocking the tv, use the controler. i dot like the concept because the controler looks too wide

Shaun 12-05-2011 12:28 AM

Doesn't look very good... I like the Ninja Star thing and Take Aim, but the rest is crap. 'Stay Fit' with the new controller. It's big, and probably heavy. I'd only use it to draw and mess around with browsing.

Of course, depends how much it costs.

Rexx 12-05-2011 03:39 AM

I don't know it still just seems necessary having a huge expensive controller with a screen on it and only allowing one of them per console..
if I wanna play a portable version of Mario I'll play with a DS.
Is there only like 1 tv in your house? Are the people in your household really not courteous enough to let you play on the tv?

Nintendo just trying to stay innovative..or relevant for that matter

OMFG! Its not a controller! Its an actual console itself!
It has its own library of games coming out!

Oh... And the Wii U Video Game Lineup?

Why, because it has a screen? All it does is stream video from the actual console. It's not a console itself, no more than a drawing tablet with a screen in it is a computer.

Ok... Please tell me how a controller can provide fully HD advanced graphics, a exclusive line up of titles like ninja gaiden 3 and darksiders 2 built specifically for it, and a disc system?

When do you ever see a controller with a disc system?

Edit: Nvm... Its a controller... Still surprised how they can pack all that information into it...
And since its a controller and not a console itself... I think its not gonna be worth 150-250 bucks

Wtf are you talking about?

The console is the WiiU. It just happens to come with a mega controller.

The games are not for the controller. The games are for the WiiU.
The screen on the controller just displays crap.

Also, what are you talking about when do you see a controller with a disc system?
Umm....every console since the ps1?
