Why should they all suffer over 1 persons dumb mistake?
Well if they didn't have those hours then they would have suffered. If it was the leaders fault and solely his but Tashkin didn't want to punish the other members, then the ownership should have been given to someone else.

Giving the ownership to someone else would cause a whole load of more problems.
