I don't know why there is such a big fuss. I mean the admins tried to do something like this for the players. Even though there were the difficulties, they tried which is all that counts.

I really appreciate all the effort that went into the new arena and the consideration behind hosting the tournament, but my problem is with the fact that they just called it off completely (postponed it, but with no date) after we've been expecting it for weeks. We practiced all day (and a lot last week) only to hear it was off.

I realize there were technical difficulties, but there are other ways to host a squad spar tournament. They could have just summoned the teams into the squad spar arena... that has been done before. When we asked them to do that we didn't get a response. Yeah they tried but the fact that they would rather cancel it than choose a pretty simple to implement alternative is what got to me.

I get on and I hear that it was canceled, so I was expecting this thread to pop up soon. Seriously though, we are very sorry.

I never really felt anything since it was postponed. Probably because I wasn't in it XD Anywho, I feel bad for the people who have gave it all their best. They may have lost the battle to technical difficulties, but they can still win the war. I give luck to everyone who will be battling on the new date. (Though I hope it is soon because people will start going back to school) I also wonder what the players got since Veri said something about a prize.

Why is there such a big fuss? Because some players had to set aside their own time to participate. And for some of those players like myself we were lucky to get it. Seriously doubting ill be able to participate in the next one due to school activities starting that's why we wanted it done today. But I DO understand it was accidental and it's fine.

Trust me, I thought of the alternatives and they didn't look like it is going well. I am hoping to get this tourney over before the start of August. Hopefully on the weekend of the 24th (This is not official) so everyone has enough time to pencil the day in. I know we might lose a few people because their school starts around then. I again apologize. I do feel bad because I know how hard people train for tournaments.

I know US people will be fine with this, but for people in other countries may be screwed because of this. I think that they should have an official SST first and then do a free-for-all.

I would certainly be willing to host a 'pick-up' tourney, and I can certainly find another host to make it faster.

the staff saying "i apologize sorry it will be better next time, etc." stop saying sorry and just fix your act, you got every team in the sst hyped for no reason and then you have the audacity to say "sorry" you guys announced the sst weeks before(i think) you should have all been on dev fixing the problems, iclassic and iera know how to do it and i think singing up would be 100% better then picking the first 8 or so teams for the sst which is un fair by leaving players that arent as equal talented as others are in spar, also the prizes where horrible, you should have a waiting room like iclassic where you are able to buy prizes.

We tried to do our best, and something went wrong. Happens to everyone.
But you know, if you'd all like, we could save you guys the disappointment by not wasting volunteered hours to bring you guys any big events. 'Specially if y'all are going to act foolish over a bump.

They aren't really acting foolish. They are expressing their opinions on the matter which is what forums are for. I think everyone realizes there is a possibility there can be problems, but, they are rightfully disappointed if this was announced weeks in advance.

Also, what is bad about just going to the gang spar room, removing the warp/summoning the gangs and finishing it that way?
