depends which IEMs, you can get a Senn IE8 or EarSonics SM3 at that price, both sound brilliant and are a completely noticeable jump for sub-$100s

Or you can save some $$$$$ and buy a UE TF10, bang-for-buck king. Goes for $130ish on Head-Fi or maybe eBay, sound is comparable to my HD25.

and none of them require amping so any source is fine

Guys what's a good headset with GREAT mic, I bought a mic who I thought was going to be awesome because it set me back $100 it's called afterglow, don't but the mic totally sucks and I want to go and complain. Any ideas? I use it to play counter strike at the moment and I come out to other ppl really bad, someone thought I was in a hail storm when I started talking.

Get a $30-40~ desktop mic, inline mics that come with headsets are usually subpar.
