And I agree too, because this is a once in a blue moon situation where everything worked out, but other teams are going to cry that you guys get special treatment when we deny their hat edits. You guys knew what the prize was.

If you're telling me to "get over it" and that my feelings on this issue don't matter because I'm not part of the GFX world, then I'm allowed to call your GFX ****ty if this is the best that you can come up with after a "stressful amount of time and effort" goes into the GST hats:

Besides, if edits are within the acceptable limits of just... not making it an entirely different hat altogether then I don't see why you would ever have to deny a first place hat edit if the maker of the hat is ready and willing to make the change for the winning team.

The answer is simple, if you do it for one person, then you'll have to do it for everyone else. That means every other hat that is similar to a gst hat will have to be changed/removed.

If the rules would have been more strict from the beginning, then we would not be having this issue. The whole sparring community has been pretty greedy for years, myself included. We want really nice hats, and sometimes the hats are nice, but we still want them to fit our needs.

Holy tried to make a gst hat's visor be transparent, and it was accepted. Some people complained, because they had requested edits for their hats before, and their requests weren't approved, so rufus reset holy's hat to what it originally was (to make it fair for everyone)

Since the whole community is selfish whenever they don't get what they want, and some might, then that leads to everyone being treated equally, and no one gets any special treatment anymore.

In this case, if they do what David wants, then they also have to remove every other hat that is an edit of a gst hat.

If they do an edit for a team, then every team will want an edit. (The problem is that not every staff wants to edit their hat, and sometimes the people who request an edit basically want it remade)

Unless they start doing the other two, then it's only fair (for now) to keep selling remakes.

I believe that, in their minds, they are thinking "why waste a very nice hat on just 7 people, when I can make a nicer one to sell at nexus." That's why the cat hat, the nub hat, and many other gst hats have been remade.

If we continue to be greedy, then the gst reward quality will be reduced due to all the limitations.

Also, leah doesn't really have a say in what gets approved and what doesn't. She probably didn't even know that a cone hat existed already. Might be hard to believe, but she doesn't really hang out in BA.

The sparring community and the gfx staff members have been clashing for years. I wouldn't be surprised if they stopped caring altogether, since it's not like anything could done about it.

In the end, I could care less if David gets what he wants, or if any of my gst hats get remade and sold, but it wouldn't be fair for everyone else. It will make staff look bad, if they comply, especially after an item has been given to a lot of people.

TL;DR
The only time that staff change a hat is when there is copyright infringement involved.

But Aguzo I missed the part where I asked for anything but my GST hats to be removed and for staff be more mindful of GST winners in the future.

They can do it, but I doubt they will, because they have stated, "It's a waste of time to remove a hat, just because someone doesn't like it." Especially after they have added it to your account.

If you don't want your gst hats, I'll take em, but I don't think they will do it, because it really would be a waste of their time.

I think coco or dusty are the head of the gfx team, and even they probably don't get to decide, maybe they do. These things happen, and avoiding every single gst hat severely limits their options. It's not an exact copy either way. Sometimes you get lucky, and the original is a lot better and holds more value.

To be honest they are easily recognizable as 2 different hats, anyone who recognises the GST hat as a gst hat will recognise the new one as a Christmas hat. I can see why people would be pissed but I'm sure once they realise that hardly any people are gonna be wearing this new cone hat they will just accept it. It's not a disrespect to players it's just a mistake that the admin made , although personally I think they are different enough to be recognised as 2 different hats. Admins just need to make sure this doesn't happen again in the future. There's probably lots of cases where hats are made that are very similar to 1K hats or gst hats but u just gotta accept it and move on. It shouldn't make you feel disrespected lol

I just brought this up cause if no GST winner who was directly annoyed by it did, it would never change. I'm just glad we can all agree that it was not in the best taste and should be avoided in the future. That's all I really ask.

It'll probably take a long time for me to want to wear another one again but whatever, as stated 1000 times in this thread this dumb stuff happens. Hopefully it won't again.

Just an assumption.
I doubt an entire staff team is unaware that a hat has a similar version already or is a direct edit of something on their server.

Also from all the post it seems like leah is the only person that checks the submissions
