Yes, but obviously that makes up for only some things. It still doesn't have backward compatibility with Xbox 360 games, requires Kinect as it is used as a main feature, focussing more on entertainment services rather than gaming, and so forth.

I sometimes go to a condo by the beach for a month at the summer and there's no internet there and I usually play offline games (co-op etc.) with my friends at night.
Oh and I don't really think a company would try to limit trading used games as they've seen what backlash Online Passes caused to EA.
