lol seriously spots for vip? More ideas for vip only? This honestly sucks lol, I managed to put two hats myself in these two weeks, what would need to change would be the matter of time of each country! For example my country is Brazil is the time starts earlier than the plate would have to have a fixed time for everyone. There is also the question of the time when the auction starts in the morning that almost no one gets on lol. ppp

We will be redesigning the queue when I'm not as busy IRL.

I'm not a fan of me opening the submissions randomly but if we announced a planned time then the server would be dropped to it's knees with everyone trying to submit at the same time -- as we saw on the Auctions launch day.

The current method isn't really 'fair' but it's hard to design a 'fair' system when it comes to filling 54 slots a week with the amount of players we have.

I think your voting system is the best option honestly. Open submissions instantly when an auction ends and give players the whole week to submit a hat (1 per player, no duplicate hats) and also vote on a hat to be sold (also one vote per player). This would weed out all of the hats people don't want to see sold, it would give everyone a chance to submit a hat and there would be no issues with timezones. Sure there could be that spike of lag once auctions end but I guess that could be fixed by gradually allowing more hats in as time goes on. Also voting on hats could be done by opening a menu similar to the hat pages where you scroll through pages of submissions and click on the hat you want to vote for. Maybe keeping vote amounts hidden would make it better so people don't just pick something with a lot of votes and randomising the list of hats for everyone, but i'm not sure if that's possible to do easily.

you could hold an auction at reasonable times for different timezones rather than every 3 hours, and at least set a consistent time when submissions are accepted so we can figure out when it is ..

In my opinion the hat auctions are destroying the economy and suddenly all the players who have been around for years are now millionaires in theory

Who would have thought those hat chasers were right all along

really really old iclassic player here with scraps to my name o|

for real though i'm really amazed at what some people are paying for certain hats. But I don't see what you mean by the economy is being destroyed.

But all that money is going from one player to another? The ways in which money are earned in graal still pay the same amounts, and prices are still pretty much the same as they were two, three whatever years ago.

How are the current auction times not reasonable?

The first auction starts at 1 AM Central Canada / US time. The following auctions are then held at 5 AM, 9 AM, 1 PM, 5 PM, and 9 PM Central Canada / US time.

This gives everyone who wants to attend the auction a fair shot at it.

This is the first time Classic has introduced a form of player-to-player commerce involving gralats and allowing players to actually assign value to hats beyond their shop price tag (if they even had one).

Auctions take a 10% cut on the gralats transferred from player to player of which we have limited the system to 54 transactions a week.

Auction #10 removes those gralats from the economy completely as well.

The only thing Auctions are doing is slimming down some of the whales and fattening the wallets of some lucky hat/accessory submitters.

The auctions run all day, so It really doesn't matter what time zone you are in.

The UK times are roughly:
6:00 am
10:00 am
2:00 pm
6:00 pm
10:00 pm
2:00 am

I think it's every 4, the timer just says 3 because it doesn't take minutes into account. So the timer would start at 3:59 and when it hits 2:59 it would tick over to 2 hours.

Auctions and MMO games have a long history together, and it has never worked properly

People are intelligent, they will milk your market economics and form power blocks to manipulate the system
