Tutorial: Accessing Graal on School WiFi
Note: This will work for -most- sites that cannot detect automated requests. Confirmed sites working: Graalians.com, Netflix, Facebook, and YouTube. Hello all, I have seen recent discussion on various threads about people havig to use their data plans to access the Graal servers and other social sites like Facebook/YouTube. I've prepared this beginner tutorial for people looking to use iPods on school networks to access otherwise blocked sites, without the use of an HTTP Proxy. This guide is simple and easy, and requires no past knowledge of proxy servers/ports/etc. -Pictures Will Come Soon- 1. Open up your settings app and select your school's wifi network. Log on if needed. 2. Press the blue arrow button on your available networks page that correlates with your school's network. 3. Open up Safari, and go to this site of private proxy servers: http://pastebin.com/Vf20pA05 4. Go back to your Settings app, and in the school wifi's information/IP page, scroll down to the bottom where it says "HTTP Proxy". Tap manual. 5. Enter the chosen proxy server from the previous site- it will be in this format. 111.1.111.111:1111 - The numbers in red will be the "Server" field. The numbers in blue will be the "Port" field. Leave the authentication switch OFF. 6. If the website you try to load does not load, try a different server. 7. Enjoy! Please +Rep me if this guide helped you. Feel free to share this method with other people, just get my permission first. Agony |

Thanks ^.^ Didn't mean it in an offensive way, but I just don't like non-productive posts on extended posts/ideas. |

I'm at school right now, and I just realized how bad that proxy list is. Took me 15 minutes to find one that worked - if anyone could find a reliable IP-based proxy server, that would be helpful. I'll also try to find one when I get home. Thanks- |

No problem. Also, I found a list of IP server proxies @ hidemyass.com - a couple are reliable. Probably best to get a list at home before trying to access proxy sites at school. |
