I came up with a similar thread a while back that involved possible boss implementation - the replies are more interesting than the concepts I proposed: http://www.graalians.com/forums/showthread.php?t=19856 I agree with this to some extent due to the lag it may cause + scripting complications. That is why Graal Classic is subtly releasing these NPC's into the world, but on a much smaller scale. (examples include bandit leader and flaming blob) The weather system is a good idea, but shouldn't serve as an indicator for boss spawns. It should remain aesthetic so that players with older devices are not left at a disadvantage. Off-topic, but what Graal Classic needs is a day & night system. |

basically what i'm seeing is make more blobs (pk mobs = lag) and make useless weather (lag) which people would get tired of in like 1 hour. also the weather is only directing people to participate in the lag mob. so basically you are trying to blow up the server with an idea that would only make the noobs who actually participate in this blob-killing happy.

The weather can be turned off for "lag", people won't get tired of random weather generation.... It gives the world life. Ever played minecraft? Zelda games have it as well. Calling people "noobs" for participating in something that you don't is ridiculous. I don't participate in blob killing, but I would if blob lasted more time, and I didn't need a friend to pm me that the blob has spawned, nor would I have to wait at swamp for hours. |
