A new GraalOnline world.
This has been stuck in my head for weeks. I've been recently been thinking seriously thinking about making a GraalOnline game. This is my first time trying... So please suggest in any appropriate manner. --BACKSTORY-- (May be improved on.) The game is based in a town that is named Noziden. Recently, a radioactive gas leaked into the city, killing thousands of humans and animals. Nearly ten years later (2086) a portion of the city has been cleared of radiation. The survivors have been hiding in a dock out in the ocean. Civilization has been rebuilt partially there with very little culture of an earlier civilization. With a portion of radiation gone from the city, the leader of the docks, (Name being decided) has sent out people to collect supplies and culture. While they search, they find some... Demonic things, lurking the town... -FEATURES-- (Being decided on still, may be more) -Droppable items and Rares! -Events hosted by "characters" and news hosted by a wise man. (Obviously role play.) -A variety of mutant monsters that attack you, each with different speed, health, and damage. -"Characters" of the apocalypse will have a personality and are controlled by admins. -Guns that are based of real guns and guns that don't exist. -A story that is hidden through notes. -A way to earn money similar to Era, and (MAYBE) a way to trade money. -Extremely rare mutant bosses. -Nuclear weapons that are auctioned, but extremely rare to come across. --THE CREW-- IN CHARGE: optimuswhat - In charge of user complaints, basic idea of game, and scenario. KyleKol - In charge of quality control for the sprites. GFX: KyleKol (Quality control) optimuswhat (Concept art, minor details) LEVEL MAKERS: (Nobody yet!) GANI MAKERS: (Nobody yet!) SPECIAL THANKS: Elite master chief (Legit Traders 4 Life) - Contributed ideas --Looking for: Gani maker, Programmer and many GFX creators.-- Please post suggestions, I will look at and consider all of them... And no, none of this is taken off another Graal game. Inspired by apocolypse-based movies and games. If you plan to join our dev crew, please provide proof of your abilities to me or KyleKol! Also, can someone think of a name? I do want this game to have help from you guys... Typed on iPad. I suddenly notice I posted this on the wrong thread.

Wow, judging from lack of replies I'm guessing that this idea sounds terrible...

In my honest opinion, try dabbling yourself into a little bit of the development fields. Like honestly, try and work on a level or two, a gfx piece and such, read a script, and open up a gani or two and watch it. Doing all of this, and continue on it for a couple weeks and if you find that you somewhat enjoy it, or have a good idea/grasp of developing, THEN carry on forward with making a new playerworld. The honest truth is that while it is good to have a server to practice on, it is even better to prepare your practice before having a server in the first place. Making a whole new game (essentially that's what a Graal playerworld is) takes a lot of development and construction. Ensure that you actually have an interest in it before prematurely taking a step towards it. |

If you want an really important advice, don't start something (graal server) without any experience.

Hmmm. Post-Apocalyptic themed server. Now why does that sound oddly familiar? Lol. Just poking fun. Best of luck in your endeavours! |

So I guess it can be categorised under that, since zombies can come from disease or such. But they're more like "messed up people that eat people because of rads." I don't know anymore. |

Fall0ut (Temporary name) Plotline Chapter 1: The GeneTech Accident Noziden is famous for it's Genetic Technical company known simply as GeneTech. And one day, when experimenting with living organisms' reactions to nuclear waste, something went horribly wrong... Computer Log: "05:32:47 Overheat alarm engaged in: Sector 7 Waste Compound" Jett: "Hey Sam, the alarm's going off! Is something wrong?" Sam: "Nah, the alarm is busted, randomly predicts fake overheating and breaches in the containment unit." Computer Log: "05:33:02 Overheat alarm status: Code Red. System failure immanent." Jett: "Yah sure we shouldn't call boss over here to check it out?" Sam: "We'll be absolutely fine." Computer Log: "05:33:11 System damage has occurred. Shutting down all system safety features." The cesspool quickly exploded, causing everyone in the vicinity to not be seen again. Chapter 2: Leave 'til the Dust Settles The sights of it from Noziden caused everyone to evacuate, to the only place possible. The ocean. Nuclear waste is very unlikely to make a far trip over the ocean to a small dock out in the middle of nowhere. Everyone was stuck on that bunker out at sea, certain people were still on the mainland and seemed to somehow survive with a strange lack of memory of the gap in time between the incident, and waking up shortly before the townspeople got back to the town. In the bunker smart people made ways to avoid radiation, gas masks and specialized suits. They created ways to clear the radiation, but due to limited supplies they could only clear up certain parts of the town, and due to the radiation, there's no way out of the town. The trees affected by radiation in the surrounding forest caused trees to grow so large, that they actually are seemingly impassible. Chapter 3: The Aftermath Now the town must survive. The radiation killed most animals, but some of them adapted to radiation, mutated to be strong against it. They are now very powerful and have only one desire, to kill the humans that made them into horrible freaks. Some humans were also mutated, and if the animals were strong, the humans are 10x as strong as them. They're formally called "Super Mutants" and many of them roam around, with the same wants and needs as the animals. But there's one upside to this: The mutants have become radiation-dependent. They'll start to slowly die as they leave the radiation. Chapter 4: I Want You (To assist us) Recently the Kyle and Paco have found a way into the forest! It's a whole other world out there, and it's dangerous to the point where Kyle won't even let you go out there unless you have a proper suit and gas mask. We need your help! We can slowly kill off all the mutants if we all put in our share! Help us make this land back into what it was by buying special weapons, created specifically to fight off the mutants! Heck, we'll start you off with a free knife and gun! Have fun, and remember, all is not lost! Chapter 5: The Forest Normally, everyone would be fighting each other for fun. But like Kyle said, it's a whole new world in the forest, people tend to not fight each other there. In fact, people go out to secluded divisions in groups to fight mutants together, pretty neat stuff. But if you choose to go out alone, you will be accompanied by others who decided to go out alone. Together you can all survive against the zombies to gain the materials they carry, and take out the mutant menace! You might even get lucky and find a human-mutant if you fight off a few waves of mutants with a survival group! Chapter 6: Story Time Paco needs your help. He's discovering many things about the mysterious town you all live in, and he wants you to finish tasks for him to find out even more, maybe he'll give you an inside about the discoveries he's made if you complete his daily tasks for you. |
