Generally, creating a public thread denouncing the acts of current staff is not a good idea when trying to apply for a staff position on the same server considering if you were hired, these will be the same people you will have to work with and they would have already read what you said about them. It would create a hostile environment between you and your colleagues before you even arrived. "Most admins don't even go on or do anything [...] I really want to work for era and ACTUALLY do something." Is a bit of a sweeping generalisation about staff in general, and not very respectful. If you don't show respect for your peers, then how can you demonstrate respect for the players whom you will be ultimately working for? As with a job application or CV, it would be helpful if you shared examples of your skills in use rather than simply listing them as points of "I can do X, I can do Y". A few good questions to ask yourself when applying for a staff position (or any job in real life in general) would be: - What skills do I have that stand out from other potential applicants? - How are these skills relevant or applicable to the position I am applying for? - In the past, what difference did my skills make during a previous job position? How have my actions improved the situation or enhanced things for the customer? - If I were to be hired, how would I make your establishment better? (Realistically) Remember, you may have many skills and talents but not all of them are relevant to the job you apply for. Rather than create a huge list with everything in one go (which would be difficult for any interviewer to read through, and may appear to be immodest or unrealistic), pick a few that are tailored to the position, and focus on those. If you mentioned being an artist, be prepared to upload some examples of your work, perhaps even prior to applying to establish a presence in the field of art. This is similarly the case for level designs etc. Finally, make sure you create your application using the standard application method. This may be through contacting the right people, or sending the correct form to the correct place.
