The PC I ended up getting was a...

HP - 15.6" Touch-Screen Laptop - Intel Core i3 - 6GB Memory - 750GB Hard Drive - Black for $400.

I actually really like it so far. It feels good to type and it can even play games. I installed something called Classic Shell so now I have the nice Windows 7 start menu back while using Windows 8.1. I wasn't planning on getting a touchscreen laptop, but this one is the same price as the other one I was going to get that got discontinued and was pretty much better in every way now that I think about it. I also got Microsoft 365's university special for $70 so now I have a 4 year subscription for using my college email address.

Oh yeah. If you can find a laptop with Linux instead of windows then that will save you a good chunk of change since you aren't paying for the OS.

Do windows 10 technical preview. it's free and works with minimal issues

Yeah, but it'll be unsupported soon. Windows 10 will come out in June, so that's something to look forward to.

Holy cow. I played Left 4 Dead 2 on this thing and it feels really, really good. I wish it was able to run The Forest though. I heard the game was good. Now I know why people like PC gaming so much.

My sis has a dell i3 intel processor, 500gb, 6gb memory. i think she bought it for $400 and its absolutely shet for gaming. lol
