Yeah, ive been practicing for a while. It's just that my house is small, my backyard is small, I don't have a basketball goal, there's no basketball court near me, and heck I don't even have a basketball. I practice with a bouncy ball lmao. And I don't really want to get into those programs for basketball because I'm not actually that dedicated to my hobby and im kinda too old for that now

recycle bin it can work for shooting if you put it far away enough and you can work on arches and range tbh pretty ghetto but it works taught my friend how to shoot better w/ it I even used it. Since I'm only 5'6 i really count on shooting so always be thinking of new ways to practice if I aint got a net and want to practice Ill think of anything. |

You can get some decent Spalding basketballs here in the UK for about 10 pounds, so it'd only be about 14 dollars, save up?
You could also try Wilson, they make some pretty good durable basketballs for less than 20 pounds. |

yeah, i don't play a lot anymore but i still keep up with the nba. used to run backup small forward. never got THAT good and all, i was more of a playmaker and less aggressive scorer. usually just worked off of midrange jumpshots and less contested layups. the easiest way to get better is practice, and watch nba players and see what they do on the floor. play nba2k as well, you'll actually start to pick up some moves from there. it also helps a lot for when your friends grill you on your NBA knowledge, because you're sure to impress 99% of the hypebeasts when you know who victor oladipo is.
you don't have to become a stephen curry shooter or a kyrie dribbler to be good, either. keep that in mind. before you start playing, know your position and what that position does. centers is post scoring and rebounds, point guards is ball handling and play making etc; when i first got a basketball, i was pure garbage. couldnt do a layup, couldnt dribble, couldn't do anything. i practiced a bit and i got better, but if you really want to get good it takes a lot of dedication. i also only reccommend joining a team once you have the fundamentals down, because i know from experience that i didnt enjoy being a crappy player on a team always missing shots and losing the ball. |
