Does skipping questions not count for any points in ACT? I know for a fact that is the case for SATs. You can literally get an amazing score if you just solve all the questions you know and skip the ones you don't. And yeah, time makes these tests a total cluster ****. All throughout grade school you're tought that showing work is how you show that you know what you're actually doing. Now it's just rush, rush, rush. Don't care how you solved the question, just get on to the next one. |

I got a 23, slightly above average for my state so cant be mad, I remember I did **** in science and math with a ~20 and got a 28 on reading. Cant remember what I got for English. I dont think ill retake it, this score seems good enough to get into a decent state school or university. |

Took it a few years ago and got a 30. ACT doesn't really matter much, it seems like colleges look more at GPA nowadays.

As you said, the measurements taken now are pretty flawed. Standardized testing is far too easy in my opinion, and I agree with your statement on GPA. Other countries with higher ranked education systems do things a lot differently from the US (at least in some instances I haven't checked in to all of them) and I think that's a big part of what makes them better. (Also not just saying this because I got a bad score on it, I can understand that assumption, but I got a 35 which is actually why I'm dissapointed in this system.) |
