There are measures you can take to compensate for the problems you'll encounter with sphere-shaped ballistics, but there is only so much you can do--there is a reason guns evolved to use cone-shaped projectiles and rifling. Even paintball has tried to go down that(expensive) road: http://www.tiberiusarms.com/first-strike-paintball/ For paintball the best bet to improve your accuracy is to stop using C02 and use compressed air instead as C02 tends to fluctuate wildly from various elements(pressure, temperature, tank chilling). Also better markers tend to have better regulators and bolts, and quality paintballs will have a more consistent fill, which makes them fly more consistently. Barrel length tends to help, but not as much as you'd think. Either way, it's not hard to find the information on these topics online. For airsoft apparently your hop-up will be the big determining factor, though paintball and airsoft share some similarities(such as your projectile quality being a determining factor). |
