But again I did add in some stuff to make it work a lot better. It goes for around 500 or less nowadays and I love it. Only issue is sometimes it gets blue screen but that was a issue that happen to these series of laptop from dell and it is really easy to replace any ram or screens if you break it. I do plan on adding a new mother board/proccers and it is pretty big screen but isnt too heavy. The "$500 gaming laptop" refers to the fact that they want the focus of the laptop to be as close to gaming as possible. You're obviously not going to get high or even mid end performance, but the alternatives could be a more portable laptop, larger media focused laptop, workstation laptop, etc.
