I always loved Kirby Super Star's soundtrack.

Mother 3 has amazing music, too.

Can't forget FF7, either.

And a handful of assorted songs too, like Final Fall from Sonic XG.

I'm a big fan of soundtracks for games and if they're done right they really do add to the experience. For this I'm just going to break it down into categories .. Strategy: Spoiler Civ 5 I've always loved Civ 5's soundtrack. It always gave that feeling of acomplishment and was nice listening to. I always played as Elizabeth so naturally I always think of this song when it comes to Civ 5. Empire Earth Another game that I use to play a ton that had a pretty good soundtrack was Empire Earth. This song was pretty good at capturing the 'war effort' of building up your forces and unleashing them out onto the battlefield. Warcraft 2 I never really got to play Warcraft 2, only a few times but it definitely seemed like a good game. It's got that heroic/fantasy vibe that games these days don't really seem to capture as well as Warcraft 2's soundtrack did. Space Empires V Nice calm music while you calculate your next move. The soundtrack was up and down depending on on your taste, but I think there were definitely some good songs mixed in there, especially this song in particular. Age of Emipres 2 Lastly.. Age of Empires 2. This song brings back a ton of memories. For it's time, it definitely was a pretty good soundtrack. It was perfect music to listen to while you explore the map early on and start mapping out your town. FPS: Spoiler Unreal Tournament UT must have been a great game back in the day. I never really got to play it when it first came out but I got to play it with a friend a few years back when he gifted it to me. Not gonna lie, there have been times where I've turned off the music for other games and just listened to this, especially when I'm getting all competitive xD 007: Nightfire I loved the way they changed up the 007 music for nightfire. It was a nice variation and the soundtrack in this game was pretty spot on with the whole spy theme. Half-Life 1 The original Half-Life had an awesome soundtrack. It definitely fit with the whole flow of the game. Even just listening to the intro music takes me back to that tram ride as you're going through Black Mesa. RPG: Spoiler Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic KOTOR is one of my favourite RPGs of all time. The music in the game was pretty good as well, definitely helping set the scene of you being a Republic hero (unless of course you chose to go down the path of the dark side xD). In particular, I liked Bastila's theme. It definitely captured her character pretty well. Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II I loved the shift to a darker sounding soundtrack to reflect how things had changed throughout the galaxy. Mass Effect Gotta love Mass Effect's music. In particular, I really liked the music that plays while you travel around the galaxy known as Uncharted Worlds. Worthy mentions: Spoiler Undertale As my friend once said, the soundtrack is "lit" Evil Genius Best music for plotting to take over the world! Starbound So many memories of exploring and building with friends Well, those are my top picks for soundtracks. Not sure if they're actually good or it's just the nostalgia kicking in xD
