"Oh darn I forgot to paw off my loan, so i'm jailed for 100 days." not to mention that a day is 24 hours. So you would effectively jail half the population of iEra for about 2400 hours. Good plan. |

Maybe something not meant for actual punishment should be the penalty, like I dunno, maybe putting you in "debt" meaning your gralats are frozen until you freelance jobs until you earn 1.2 times your debt. And to keep people from getting to deep in debt players can only withdraw, say, 30k. That way Unixmad gets at least SOME bread and players won't have to pay off millions.

I could make a couple alt accounts, and easily abuse this whole system by borrowing money with the alt accounts, buying the items I want, and then giving them to my main account. Then the alt account would become unusable, but I'd still have the item. No. This would be pretty abusive.

Here's a simple, working method. -Let's say Bob needs some money to buy the new Magic Wand melee! -But to no surprise, it's expensive! -Bob borrows 30k, and after the loan shop does its magic, it comes up with a time to return the money. -(Ex, oh wait this all is .-.) Bob was given 1 day to return the money. -(Ex:1) Bob returned the money in less than 24hrs, and he now has his own Magic Wand, yey! -(Ex:2) Oh no Bob couldn't make (or buy, yah it's era obviously that's what they all do) enough money, so whatever Bob purchased is now returned, and he does not own the item anymore. Just realized a few flaws. Players would probably continue to borrow money to basically own the item, so perhaps you can only borrow once every week, maybe even 2. And if the player bought shovels with the money, and already use/broke the shovels, the shells they got from the shoveling (or money if exchanged) would be removed from their account. |

This idea should be removed... Era is a cop vs gangster game-it didn't mention anything about loaning or gambling to pay off debts. We're teaching 9-12 year olds to do this in real life(not like they would but some will) when growing up. We don't want a game to be a bad influence to players on App Store. Plus, increases people to keep borrowing 1M and buy all good guns+win auctions easily-just like buying gralat packs with itunes Yes, I know era is a game but, it's bad enough that people are being racist and sort of whatsoever language. I've learned some words and used them rarely-speaking off my mind I wouldn't like to see people to keep borrowing and getting banned for not returning the debt. If more than 3/5 of era population borrowed, they not only suffer loss of Gralats, but also lose of players that will delete era and start a new RPG game. |
