Required to pay to play PS4 games online

Well guys Sony said it. You have to have PlayStation Plus to play PS4 games online. No more free online gaming. Tbh, I really am surprised as I thought Sony was doing well with PS3's free online gaming. Now I'm considering of evening getting a next-gen console or sticking to my PS3.

Well.. Yes, for us PS community.. We were hanging on to the fact that PS4 would be F2P online.. But I see your point. It just sucks. People I know that was going to buy a PS4 is not anymore because of this..

I have paid for Xbox Live for the past 5-6 years. My logic is that if you can afford to buy a console that costs hundreds of dollars and buy games that cost $60 a pop then you should be able to afford $50 a year.

Skip a few meals at McDonalds. Stop buying soda and candy every time you're not at home. Oh you want to go see that new movie? Wait til its on DVD.
Its really not that much of a financial strain.

The offered a free online service in the past gen to even keep up with Microsoft. A lot of people bought PS3 simply because you could play online for free, however, now that Sony just took a dump on MS, they can afford to make this move.

I can't pay for both so I'm going to stay with the 360. I was never really much of a Playstation gamer. It sucks both systems cost to play online though. I was surprised since the PS3 was free to play online.

Yep, a lot of people say this. Some even said that it doesn't feel like paying PSPLUS to go online because of the free games and discounts.

5 games a month on the ps3, Games like Infamous 2 etc. I think it's a great deal.

and I think if you have any siblings/roomates playing on the same PS4 only one needs to buy ps+ so all using the console will have it
