Only one hole was removed. The hole at the entrance that was easy to knock players into and then make them fall two floors down. They were never permanently open. They just took damage so fast due to the amount of activity that they broke almost immediately. The damage was tweaked so the floor stays stable for longer. They may have looked like they were open and closing on a timer as I was updating the level. Their intention was to never be a permanent obstacle. Dunno if it was obvious, but there are various methods in place to discourage blocking and encourage activity.
Destiny Tower is getting the treatment it is because it's a learning experience for not only players, but staff. I already know it's dumb to put effort into a more challenging tower when there are towers like Sardon, but things have to be done one step at a time. Who's to say Sardon won't get a revamp using the knowledge gained from developing Destiny's tower? |
