I've been using Windows 8 for the last few months, as long as you have proper hardware support it works great. One thing I highly recommend is buying a copy of StartIsBack and installing a dark theme. Aside from the changes to UAC (have to Run as Administrator with it off) it works great and is pretty much identical to my Windows 7 workflow but with the new performance increases and faster boot times. |

You can always get it and then download some mods to make it more like Windows 7.

Oh hey I forgot to tell you something Pavillion dv7 was great for me. I have another Pavillion that has always been utter ****, not sure what model (I'll check eventually). And I'm currently on an ENVY m6 (all HP) which has been decent so far. |

lol. I'm using a Windows 8 right now. There are a lot of problems with it though. It changes the date to a random day all day, every day and turns off and on the sound constantly during YouTube videos. Yah.... Windows 8 is trying to take over the world! STOP THE MADNESS!!! |
