Wireless Adapter Issues

So ever since I updated the firmware of my router to solve issues with my brother's uploading causing lag, I've been having issues with my computer losing it's internet. My computer is the only computer on the network with this issue, even with several other computers connected wirelessly.

Basically, every once in a while, my internet on this computer stops working, but I'm still connected to the router itself. I have to right click the network and either
a) disconnect and then reconnect
or
b)go to status and diagnose for the computer to automatically restart the wireless adapter

doing either of these fixes the issue, however it's extremely annoying because it makes me disconnect from games and all that.

I've tried updating my adapter's driver, but it had the newest one installed. I tried rolling back the driver, but that didn't help. I tried turning off the "allow computer to put device to sleep" but that didn't help as well.

Any suggestions?

Try putting your router's wireless setting to a specific channel. Then possibly reinstalling the driver completely(by uninstalling and repeating the installation steps).

Drivers can be very weird, and in my experience wireless is almost right up there with printers.

Ok I did the thing with the wireless channel, don't think it'll work though because it seems to be an issue with connecting to the internet-for some reason I stay connected to the router on this computer, but the internet does not work.

edit: Didn't fix it :/ 2 dcs

strangely enough it happens at random intervals, for example it happened twice within 10 minutes today, but it went almost 2 days without happening earlier.

I can't get a wired connection, my room is like 20 feet away from the router.

Also, update:
I think it actually is happening to every computer connected wirelessly, I am mistaken.
