pretty sure it's illegal for them to spy on us like that. unless we gave up our right to privacy for certain reasons, which i'm pretty sure we havent. All i remember is us giving up our right to privacy when using a phone due to 9/11.  

They aren't spying. They are archiving so they can spy on our past activity in the future.

So after hearing of all the bull**** the US Government is doing to spy on people's internet activities, I'm considering using Tor. I'm just wondering, is there any chance it might be filled with adware/malware of some sort? I'm just wondering if anyone uses it, too. Is it hard to use? Does it lag bad when used?

Tor is somewhat safe to use. Note that it's a bit slow than your default browser. Just be sure not to stumble upon unsettling stuff.

I ain't gonna use it for that rofl. I can't think of any .onion sites I'd want to visit, I'd just use Tor for the privacy when web browsing.
