I'm not sure what can be modified to your body to make it passable, I'd ask a gfx person to help in the regard. I will say the main issue that I see with the body is mainly the hoodie part. Capes are generally acceptable, but how the hoodie seems to cover the back, front and side angles makes it look like an accessory to me.

I don't really think it looks like an accessory. This is how it looks with a head.
In my eyes it just looks like a normal body because of how the layering works. I'd get it if the hood part rendered above the head like hats but no, it's mostly covered, especially on the side and back views. Going back to something I said in a previous post. I'm still confused as to why it only affects a couple of things and not all of them. There are bodies with tails or bow ties even though there are more tail and bow tie accessories than hoods yet those are still everywhere on custom bodies.
Another thing is integration with the entire design of the body. To me it looks like the hoodie / cape is almost a separate asset pasted onto the default body. I don't have the file on me right now, but a pretty good example would be that cat body with the hoodie. Everything is integrated into the design pretty well on that one. I hope that all makes sense.

That's kind of what i wanted for a body though, I originally edited one of the current ingame bodies to include a cape and kept adding things from there (which countless other players have also done). That shaded body in the picture is just an edit a friend made of my original version, which is an indexed version with no shading and is the one I've been using for a year and a half now. This is what it looks like.
I also don't understand what you mean about the cat body. I know which body you're talking about but that looks more like a copy/paste job to me becuse that's literally what it is.
All they did was copy/paste something that already existed, which is exactly how I made my body. I guess the side view blends well into the body on both of those examples I show in the gif but that's the only real thing I see which stands out from mine but that's because I wasn't trying to make a body in that style.
I'd also like to point out the fact that they don't even have all of the frames done properly.
They also have issues in the running frames.
If I was going for your average hooded body I would've gone about it differently or just looked for one of the few other ones there already are. What I was going for is more of a cloak like this and I feel like I made it as best and as accurate as I could.
If it feels like I'm coming off as rude to you or anything that's not what I'm trying to act like so sorry if that's the case. I'm just feeling like this is unfair because the body I spent hours on
(since I'm not experienced at all with pixel art) is getting the thumbs down now out of nowhere even though I made the changes I was originally told to make for it to be acceptable. If I can get what needs to be changed cleared up then I'll give that a go but I've got a feeling that it'll turn into a completely different body which won't be what I want. I mean, I'll definitely try but if I can continue to use what I've already been using for so long now I would be really happy.
