Keyboard/switch preference
What do you guys use? I didn't buy into how big of a deal this was until I bought a "mechanical feel" budget keyboard and it felt like Play-Doh under my fingers… My BlackWidow 2014 is starting to double-tap on single presses, so I'm replacing it. Razer uses their own custom switches, but I've been told the ones on the BW are most similar to Cherry MX Blues.
I really like compact keyboards, but can't use tenkeyless ones because I use the numpad so much. The
CM Storm QuickFire TK
was on Amazon for ~$50 through a Lightning Deal today, so I picked it up.
It's got a similar compact design, except moved the row of keys between the main 84 and numpad onto the numpad itself. I've never used Reds, but people tell me they are the best for gaming because of the linear press and actuation point. I do a lot of web development and content writing for work, so that could be a big adjustment for typing. It may just be a preference thing though.
