@all I lol'd.
But IE is actually getting better. For Microsoft Internet servers.
My house uses an apple provider. I can only use an iPad for Internet exploring.

Ash Ketchum 08-07-2013 11:33 AM

I'm just saying, internet explorer 11 is insanely fast

Rexx 08-07-2013 02:24 PM

IE 10 and Chrome don't* seem to have any noticeable difference in speed to me.
I like having extensions and themes though.

yep.

back in 04 or whatever when i switched to firefox the difference was night and day. no popups, nicer interface, etc. nowadays every browser is a browser, even the latest version of IE is probably fine.

If you stick poop in the LHC, it's still ****. IE is probably okay in this day and age, but I'm still not a fan of it. Then again I am also not a fan of Chrome. Security still may be an issue with IE(and was always its biggest issue in the past). Long startup and bulkiness was also an issue. But now when Firefox and Chrome have taken such a hold, the question is even if IE is not sucky... why go back? I would take the results of your speedtest you took in IE with a grain of salt.

IE 11 is faster, and has better security. End of story. I had to turn off enhanced security mode for it so my certain plugin can work. I used various of speed tests for IE 11, but also using plain knowledge and my eyes I can see its faster.

I used this benchmark: http://ie.microsoft.com/testdrive/Performance/LawnMark/

took 11.71

Now tell me how long it took for you. Also Internet explorer uses GPU to load everything instead of the software. Probably why its faster
